No it's not. It's exactly 5 seconds for an attack. The attack animation that takes about a second bleeds into the attack cool down timer making it effectively 5 seconds.

personally, id put warriors at s tier, because alongside all you said, their ability to prolong spider wars is hugely understated. trying to get a bunch of standard spiders to fight each other is a chore-their low health and potential to be stunlocked makes infighting end quickly, as the offending spider will be wiped out before additional spiders can aggro on its attackers-but with the extra health and inability to be stunlocked, spider warriors will make wars go on for almost twice as long. switcherdoodles take monster meat and silk, and warriors are essential to getting them en masse

For the shattered spider, if you get far enough. When you battle the celestial champion the snare attack drops tons of glass shards. I got 7 stacks from my fight. Makes it easier to craft bit idk if its even worth it at that point

Ah, this was just what I needed. I recently booted up a Webber world, and I was going to start befriending spiders, and carry them around or make switcherdoodles when I wondered what I should have quite an army of to pair with nurse spiders. Of course, while there's the new ocean spider (which I haven't looked into), this has told me about all I need to know. Now I can have fun massacring the ruins with dangling depth dwellers.

I would put the normal spider in A tier. You can recrute them about as much as your computer can allow it and at this point, hp doesn't matter. If one falls another one takes its place.

The best team I ever made was 5 healers with 10-13 spitters. You can have 5 slots for necessary itens and carry ALL your spiders for everywhere and your army is pretty much invencible against almost every mob/boss

Is there something you can do about spiders pushing you around non stop once the size gets large enough? It makes it impossible to even go through even chest as the pushing is pretty constant. I really want to realize the commander of the army style but this gets in the way.

my favourite thing to do is rush to the labyrinth, get an insane army, clear the ruins, then lock all the spiders in a box at base. Then, I make about 2/3 spitters and the rest nurses. You can also make some striders for crab king. It’s insanely fun.

I would put the normal spider into S tier. Easily the most OP spider. And I won't count only the bissfights. Against hounds, bees, other spiders, civil wars, they are the most efficient and if we count that a swithcherdoodle costs at least 1 monster meat, I would choose 10 spiders instead of 2 spider warriors unless I'm playing against a boss. They are always avaliable and they grants an emergency food support.

oh here in this video you talking about availability and combat ability and you say you cant take just combat ability for your tier list. you say in dont starve the efficiency is the most important... and that my friend is exactly what i meant is the problem with your "fastest deerclops kill" video. wigfrid beats evry char in term of efficiency and tahts why shes the best in evrything. she can even challenge woodie and maxwell in chopping cause chopping you do in the forrests where you have a lot of spiders and wigfrid can easily survive forever from eating monster meat also she can kill much faster and easier treeguards which makes her the minimum 3. best chopper in the game. she can beat maxwell and woodie for some time in chopping but on the long run they will get more logs
