I bought a Bugs 3 after watching this video. I modded the camera mount to fit my Session 5. I'm so glad I bought it! This drone is an absolute blast. I've bashed it around pretty hard and it's still flying on the original props. It is a very robust bird for the little amount of money it cost me. Thanks again for the honest reviews.

So far, every review of this thing is awesome! I recommend getting one of these before the next model comes out with all the add on features and does not fly like this anymore...Cause this flys AMAZING. FYI, This WILL fly with a 3s battery if you really want to see this thing rip...lol. Look around for "frequent flyers" videos on this thing. And yes if you look, It states its 3s capable on the specs.

I bought this Bug a few days ago and I'm in love. I've only been able to fly it twice because it's raining cats & dogs. I flew it once bare naked like you did and the second time with full gear, including the camera. My flight time (with full gear) was just shy of nine minutes. I expect that to improve somewhat as the battery and engines get broken in a bit.

Excellent video. I've had this for about a week and it is one of my favorites. The tx will beep when the signal gets weak to let you know it going out of range. Also you can replace the light in front with a fog camera

The site you gave ,say bugs 3 ,altitude hold, but looking at the transmitter,the throttle is all the way down,so it can't be altitude hold ? Can it something wrong here

i know i keep on asking, but can you check out the Syma X5SC or (Rebranded) Sky Drone Plus. I want to see how it performs in wind or outside before i do in case I break it haha im a newbie pilot

The King Syma x5c is a great for beginners. Syma can handle 25 km wind but with Bug3 I flown other day wit 35-40 km wind and it was kind of ok even wind gusts. Bug3 is better flyer than Syma but only for experts.

Great review. Would this be under 255 grams without the landing legs, props guard, camera and with a smaller 1000mah 2/3s battery? This can be a quick go to flier without the hassle of messing around with custom built quad type.

This thing is awesome, way better than my frickin cheapy mini drone I got at marshalls (that one was still fun though) but yea I was having tons of fun on low mode. I was flying it in my front yard so I didnt want to fly it and crash it into like one of my neighbors cars or anything, so I was gentle flying it, but I still loved it. I don't need a lot of fancy functions just a nice brushless fast quad. This seems to be it. A lot cheaper than the Hubsan X4 H501S because it is more basic. I am sold! All the other reviews seem positive about this Bugs 3 too. A reall bargain it seems. Keep up the good work!

I can only get one drone right now and you have two that I can't decide between. the dji WL Toys q333 or the bugs 3. The prices are about the same, so which is the best between the two?

Oh gosh!! That is a hard choice :-) But a good choice to have to make! So the 333 is definitely cooler out of the box and does more initially but the Bugs 3 can be upgraded to do more later, and seems to out fly the 333.

Marvin Lee Basically Brushed motors have brushes that give power to the magnets on the center axle, making it spin. What happens is the Brushes break, and they are very finicky. Brushes motors are reversed. the permanent magnets are on the axle, and the electro magnets are on the casing, that way there is no need for the brushes. This results in less friction and less parts to break. Please correct me if I missed anything.

Hey Guy's, Iam just taking a walk down memory lane and thought I'd visit the video that made me buy the bugs3. I was thinking, do you guys have a video that shows beginners (on the transmitter) how to fly a quad???? Which ways to move the sticks to turn, go forward, donuts ect.... I think without (headless mode) it would make for a great vid for beginners. I've looked on youtube and haven't seen anything where it shows both( on the transmitter and quad) in the same frame. When I first started out, it would've been very helpful for me. It would be very useful to people. Thanks.

I think the XK252 is a totally different beast than this. The 252 can fly inverted, and is designed for 5.8 ghz FPV right out of the box. This is larger, a little more docile, much longer flights.. just very different.
