Be sure to follow along in the fun on Instagram if you don't already / jamerrillstewart In today's new large family thrift store clothing haul I'm sharing how I got an entirely new wardrobe for Amelia, plus a bunch of clothes for Daniel. Naomi, Gabriel, and Liam got a few new things, too! I only had 40-minutes in this thrift store and was crunched for time. The rest of the family got most of their Fall/Winter needed items from Walmart. That haul will be out soon!

Like you said, little kids change outfits multiple time a day plus they grow like weeds so why not save money where you can? “It’s about the memoirs you make, not the clothes you wear” is what my Grandma always used to say to me

It’s easier to find little kids clothes in good condition at theft stores. They grow faster then they wear them out. It is really hard to find the bigger kids used clothes.

Hi Jamerrill, I love that you show how it is Ok to shop at thrift stores and save money. Some people think it is terrible to wear clothes that other people have worn. There is nothing wrong with buying clothes at thrift stores. I do and love it. Thank you Tricia

I love all Miss Amelia's new dresses! With the shorter sleeved ones, I kept thinking how darn cute they will look with long sleeves and leggings...or even jeans under them! I only have one child myself, but I found when she was younger that buying things at the thrift store for playing was so much easier on the wallet. I swear they stain and rip holes in their clothes so fast with all their active play, so why not save money! For clothing hauls, I have seen people sit the camera on a tripod or table or sorts and just hold them up in front of them and talk about where they got them and such. I love those ones, because you can show the detail of some of the clothes a little more by moving them closer or back further. TY for your videos! Love the towel!

Figuring out what everyone needs around here seems like the biggest part of the job. Finding the right items at thrift stores takes a lot of time and patience but saves so much money. You did great in 40 minutes!

That’s an awesome thrift store for only $1 per item!!! Most of them looked like they were in really good condition too! I always love a good deal! I love that one of our local schools has a resale shop twice a year usually always find some good deals! Kids clothes are so expensive I try not to ever buy full price! Can’t wait to see your Walmart haul!

What a great haul! Those dresses are just too cute. Every time I watch your thrift store haul videos it gives me the itch to do some thrifting myself! Our Goodwill is large but doesn't seem to have that great of a kid's clothing selection, but the women's section is humongous. I just love the thrill of finding a great deal there when I do have the chance to go!

I never find good bargains in our charity shops (i am in the uk and i think thats what a thrift store is) i love your channel you have an amazing family and home and your voice is very soothing x lovely clothes and great bargains i have 3 kids and they grow so fast so love a bargain x

I love thrifting for my four little ones. I'd rather not worry about them ruining an expensive new outfit and then I can also feel good about donating hand-me-downs or throwing away items with bad stains or a hole. I like to mix new and used as well. Like you, I start at the secondhand stores and then fill in the gaps at Walmart or clearance at Kohls :) on top of thrifting, my biggest money saver is buying clearance ahead for the next year. For my youngest, I've bought about 10+ Carters outfits on clearance at kohls for $3 each for next summer. All that to say, yay for buying secondhand!

Jamerrill's Large Family Table If I'm being totally honest, Kohl's has disappointed me recently in deceptive sale offers. Marking up items as soon as their coupon offer dates start. For instance, I had a backpack for my daughter in my online cart for weeks. It was a specific backpack she had been wanting that wasn't available through any store. It was 16.99. I didn't mind that price but knew a coupon code would be coming so I held off. Flash forward a week or so, got my coupon, time to purchase, right? Well, they bumped up that very backpack in my cart to $24 the same day my coupon went into effect. So disappointing! So now I only shop their end of season clearance and use coupons on that. They've really changed their once wildly popular savings and deals to being a quite expensive place to shop.

Awesome haul. Let's face it your kids are kids they know how to have fun with play. My goodness just think what the bill would be if it was all new, well they definitely would not have so many. Great stuff you got there. Im the opposite in that I hate clothes shopping in the store and much rather shop online (except for thrift stores!!) although I know that means I can't really see and touch the clothing. But hey it works for me!

Love all your hauls. I watch a lot of hauls. Most ppl sit on a couch or chair or floor and face the camera and hold up each item. It’s easy to see bc you can use two hands.

I love dresses for little girls pass off slightly too short dresses and leggings as tunics and capris in the spring. Great for layering when it's cold. They're awesome.

Mama to Four I’m pregnant with my 3rd boy...after 10 years I’ve finally come to terms with not having another girl so all of my daughters clothes are getting gathered up right now. But the boys are all close enough together I’ll continue keep their stuff. Boys are 5.5, 3 and due in March. I am sad about my daughters clothes...

From one thrifty Mama to another, The Children’s Place is my go to for kid’s clothing. I’m a huge thrift shop/yard sale lover, but for those things we need new, TCP has the best prices. Jeans are almost always on sale for $7.99 ($6.99 during the holidays) and are excellent quality. Their shirts run between $3-$6 and also are excellent quality. Like you, I thrift shop and buy what I can that way first, but for those things we need after that, TCP can’t be beat!

In fact, I bought one for my 19mth old at my local savers (I live in the northeastern United States) this fall. It's fun seeing that you had the same thrift store find, even in a different area of the country.

Old navy.com when they have clearance and or coupons is good after Christmas. I Always check slickdeals, retailmenot or google for promo codes before I buy anything.

Nice haul we love to thrift shop, but our stores are a lot higher here in Washington, you might get a few things for around $ 2.00 if lucky, but the most runs around $ 6.00 ! A lot cheaper then new!

Make sure you are using the Walmart Savings Catcher! They will hunt for other prices and give you back the difference on a digital gift card! You just scan your Walmart receipts and go. Love your videos!

If you have a distribution center you can buy everything for everyone in one place and get it by the pound if you get 50#s for .59 a pound I do that for hubby and myself my kids are adults now but I see tons of children clothing and everything I buy is extremely nice just an idea!

I get tons of hand me down girl stuff my boys however they dont need cloths as much for some reason they grow kind of slow they both hit growth spurts though i need pants for my oldest he is hard to size

Hi Jamerrill, I was wondering if any of your kids were picky on their clothes you get. Like if they were too itchy or tight or if they just didn't like the feel of designs on the front??? I was a picky clothes wearer. I hated tight elastic around the waist ( still do @ age 50 lol)

In answer to the question of the younger children getting thrift store clothes: having raised 3 children, I would imagine that they outgrow their clothes a lot faster than the older ones do. I also have some grandchildren(3 boys and 1 girl). The second grandson lives fairly close to me so I have some clothes here for when he comes to stay. As he outgrows them, I save them in a tote. Glad I did as they were much needed when our third grandson came along. He outgrew his clothes so fast mom and dad couldn't keep up so I sent them to him.

To me it makes complete sense to shop at the thrift stores for your younger children. As you stated little ones can go through 2+ outfits in a day, while older kids and teens only go through one. Little kid clothing is MUCH more abundant in thrift shops than teen/adult clothing. Not to say you can't find good deals, but it makes financial sense to buy little kid clothes there. Older kids also do not tend to be nearly as hard on their clothing, I'd be so upset if I bought tons of clothes at cost and then had to get rid of those clothes due to rips, tears and stains that can't be sewn or spray and washed out. I don't feel bad one bit when this happens with my thrift haul clothing.

U should hit up Walmart there Halloween costumes were 90% off my mom owns a day car she cleaned them out for the kids to have dramatic play and dress up she got iron Man wonder woman u name it they we're dirt cheap..

I know you said you don't do online shopping, but you should keep an eye out for discounts for the online thrift store Schoola.com- they occasionally have really awesome sales (I got a bunch of men's button down shirts and dress slacks for $1 each during their President's Day sale), and some of the proceeds goes to helping schools, so maybe you'd find it worth it. I signed up for their emails and just keep an eye out for good sales whenever we need something.
