Nice demo of how to carefully remove rings from a heavy-duty cover: the plastic CAN snap, even though it is pretty strong. For people interested in Levenger discs - sign up for their mailing list, and wait for a sale! The paper that comes with the Martha Stewart is my least favorite of Levenger, Tul (Office Depot) and Happy Planner paper. It seems to have the least-generous sized holes and "catches" more making it hard to turn. But I really like having both the aqua cover and the grey linen cover from Martha, they are unique among the main product lines. While I'd don't love the discs that come with those planners (cheap plastic), the color of the disc with the aqua binder looks really nice with it. I upgraded the grey linen binder with smoky grey aluminum discs from Tul, and it looks really nice. The Levenger punch seems to have the most generous punch-hole. I got the big one so I can punch through thick items like diy covers.

I just purchased a new BIG Happy Planner and am really excited about how easy it will be to add papers into it. I am eyeballing those Levenger discs as well. Levenger/Circa is has awesome quality items. I have purchased other things from them. :) Your planner looks great---very pretty!

Love the video! I just bought this larger Happy Planner last night and I'm anxious to start working with it. A suggestion I have, and something I do to save room in my Happy Planners, is to not put all of the months in my planner at one time. I put 3 months at a time. If I have something coming up way in the future that I need to get in there, then I will go ahead and put that month's calendar and the daily page with the details but not the other pages. It saves a lot of space doing that. Just wanted to share :)

You have ended my search I cannot find a leather binder for my hp hybrid planner I'm going to find one right now ... I could not find a cover that didn't have a black space as this does . Levenger discs rock too I love adding all of the disc bound accessories to my hp original set up . Thank you thank you the hp hard cover is nice but those inner pockets are a must . Hi, I purchased a Tul cover, and the inside of the front cover has a flap for storage that isn’t big enough to hold the pages of the planner. Does yours fit the planner pages in the inner flap on the cover?

Thank you so much for making this video! I've been trying to figure a way to find something durable for a happy planner. Would you happen to know if there is a smaller Maratha Stuart binder for the standard happy planner?

+808jenny I was wondering the same thing. When I was looking for it through the site +housefulofgrls provided I noticed they do have a smaller one (it's called Junior Size). BUT it is going to be too small for the standard happy planner size. Our happy planner is 7.75" x 9.75" and the junior size that the Martha Stewart notebook provides is 6.5" x 9". I'm not sure how tall the one she has is but on the website it says it is 10.039" wide, so roughly 2.25" wider than our planner. I am thinking I might try it out anyways, even if it is a little bigger, for a little more protection.

There is a smaller binder but it is closer to personal size, so too small for the standard size Happy Planner. However I do believe some of the ARC brand covers will fit the original size Happy Planner.

You said you have a hole punch which one do you have? I know the happy planner has one out but is it for the smaller size ? Will it work for the big happy planner as well? Also where did you get that clear pocket that is in the back of your planner from? Thanks so much the video is great!

+law13hhs1 I have the Happy Planner punch, it is for the smaller size, but I just lined it up and punched extra holes. The pocket is from the Martha Stewart line at Staples as well.

Thanks so much! I found a $20 hole punch on amazon for an 8.5 x 11 so it fits the Big Happy Planner perfectly! I havent tried it yet but I am very excited! They don't make the expansion pack in the 8.5x11 yet. From what I've heard most accessories in this size won't come out until July, but there are printables on Etsy.

I bought the Levenger rings after hearing so many people talk about them on IG. While they do indeed look beautiful, I must be having a different experience than everyone else because I found it very difficult to turn the pages.

I had a similar experience with the Levenger rings. I bought the 1 1/2" rings and was a little disappointed because the pages didn't turn as smoothly as I anticipated. I also have the Martha Stewart (Large) Planner with the divider tabs. The levenger rings did work better on my Arc notebook, so I just the discs on that instead of the Martha Stewart Planner.

if you wiggle your planner up and down gently it will help settle the rings into the paper grooves and will be MUCH easier to turn. . . just place the planner on a flat surface, open. it close to the middle and place your hand on the rings and gently wiggle them up and down, then gently turn all the papers, a small amount at a time, back & forth.

I have the Levenger punch, and I do believe the convex dome portion which goes over the disc edges is slightly thicker. So, if your pages were punched by a non-Levenger punch, the page turning will be a little more snug.

The Happy Planner punch is the worst especially if you want to punch plastic or laminate I purchased the arc punch and it's amazing compared to the hp I thought it was me until I read the reviews the arc punch can do 20 pages at once
