The importance of testing for varroa cannot be said enough! Thanks for showing how simple it is done. The hardest part for many is the idea of sacrificing 300 bees but in the big picture and for the betterment of the colony it is a necessity.

This year I am 100% committed to being a mite murdering machine. Got lucky with temps this year. OA in the spring, Formic Pro after the nectar flow stopped 2 weeks ago and apivar starting sept 1..... Good vid, thanks.

How big of a hive do you start with. One deep add bees, then add another deep(I'm up north)?

Hello. Question for anyone. I have a hive that has been queenless for two weeks, and have tried requeening twice and both times they have killed the queen. I’m certain I don’t have a virgin queen. Yet I did find and remove 18 live queen cells. Was that the reason? Any tips on how to introduce the next queen without them killing her?
