What’s a good wood glue to use for the frame beautiful work btw!

What were the stand-off triangles you used under the frame? They looked like sponges almost.
@themainlinewoodshop85232 жыл бұрын
Hi - they are actually just wood triangles I cut but they had over spray on them from other projects making them look sponge like! Thanks for asking!

I am going to make a large frame, 90" wide x 32" tall, for a large format canyon picture out of walnut. Is there a minimum width for that size picture frame for structural integrity. Was going to do 4" wide by 3/4" or 7/8" depth. Thanks.

Great video! What did you use glass or acrylic? Also what backing materiel is that?
@themainlinewoodshop85234 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It was glass - had a custom piece cut, but I have used acrylic on other picture frames. The backing was hardboard. I needed something a little stiffer than cardboard or thicker card stock paper.

That's real nice. Now build one with the tools a typical home owner would have.

ok - tell me the tools and we'll do it. Table saw ok?

@@themainlinewoodshop8523 If you think the typical home owner owns a Table saw go ahead and use yours. Skill saw, reciprocating saw, router, sander, hammer, screw drivers, nails, screws, hand saw, hand tools, hand drill. Get to work. Thanks,
@themainlinewoodshop85232 жыл бұрын
@@David-ll8bt I have to believe the typical homeowner who is looking to build things out of wood probably has a table saw. After hand tools, sander and a drill set it’s gotta be the next purchase.

@@David-ll8btFirst two tools I purchased as a home owner were a miter saw and jobsite table saw since you can get both for pretty cheap. Either of those can be used to make a frame very easily (I've done it many times). Is there a particular step you need help with?

I NEED A LARGE FRAME BUT I ONLY HAVE THE WOOD AND A SCREW DRIVER .🤔

Very nice picture frame, and I like the artwork too. I'm not a woodworker but I've started to create some frames for my photographs. If you like, give me an opinion, you can see the frames I've built in my channel.

Like the video, but when did you cut the miters?
@themainlinewoodshop85234 жыл бұрын
I guess I didn’t show that. Little trick - cut them at 46 deg and shave a little if you have too, but often I find you don’t!
