Part 1: goo.gl/UfqCN1
---------
In this clip, Large Professor breaks down all of his favorite collaborations throughout his career, where during that time he worked with some of the most legendary emcees from the golden age of hip-hop. During the segment, he remembers producing for Kool G Rap on the Wanted: Dead or Alive album, and even helped inspire the horns for Pete Rock & CL Smooth's classic “T.R.O.Y.” Elsewhere, he speaks on the late Big L with the highest regard, describing him as treacherous on the mic and of the nicest emcees of the time period.

The Big Picture may have had bigger songs like Ebonics that reached a larger audience but Lifestyles Of The Poor And Dangerous was a grittier and more cohesive album. @@presdurst3325 lol peace bro. For the record I would pretty much consider both of the albums to be classic and obviously Big L is and was an amazing artist. I'll even say that when comparing both albums The Big Picture sounds newer and more relevant while one could make the argument today that parts of Lifestyles sounds a bit dated. I still favor the first one, but both are great bodies of work.
@hotblockcommander3243
@hotblockcommander3243 5 жыл бұрын
I'm not positive but aside from all the vocals, I believe The Big Picture due to Big L' s untimely death was put together and packaged as a final project without Big L having final say over production, cover art, etc. If I'm wrong about that someone please correct me.

Big L will allways be in my top 10 absolute legend. Tupac, Big L, Biggie, Eazy E, Nas, Big Pun, Twista, Eminem, Ice Cube, Wiley are my top 10 in no particular order. Could listen to these guys forever.

Finally someone talks about the most underrated New York Mc. If him and Pun lived Em, 50 and Jay may not have been in top 10 discussions as often

Big L completely washed jayz on a song though. Listen to they freestyle. Big L has too many classes lines in it. "I'm so ahead of my time my parents haven't met yet" is an example of 1.
