The thing works great overall, but one issue I've run into recently is that the instruction manual actually tells you to do an additional soak of the floater piece, the filter piece, and the noise silencer component - however, the silencer (black piece connected to the bottom of the big tube in the tank) is pretty much impossible to remove, I literally just broke a piece off trying to pull it out. This also is unfortunately the only real eay to get into the tube part for cleaning (the vinegar soak alone does not remove mildew growth from that, least in my experience), making that pretty much impossible too. Bit of a shame as I was enjoying up until then, but not trying to breath in mold at night...

I bought one. Can you please tell me how to remove item "T" in the user manual, the noise reducer? I have a feeling mine never came with one. Appreciated.

I plan on using this in my bedroom. Will this mist saturate whatever is underneath it? Like a dresser or table or carpet?

No you are able to control the degree of mist that is coming out. So if it is a smaller room you would have it on low. If it is a bigger room it could be on a higher setting. You do want to make sure to sit it on something that is away from a wall. And you would not put it down on a carpet or something like that. I hope that helps! :)

Does the mist settle on the ground or table to where you need to put towels down ?

No you are able to control the degree of mist that is coming out. So if it is a smaller room you would have it on low. If it is a bigger room it could be on a higher setting. You do want to make sure to sit it on something that is away from a wall. And you would not put it down on a carpet or something like that. I hope that helps! :)

what if I use tap water , is it really bad ?

That's a great question. :) I believe the issue is that with tap water there can be bacteria and you are then breathing that in when it turns into the mist. I am not an expert on any of this :) So I would google so you can read and better understand. I hope that helps.
