About my favorite model of yours...and I even was stationed on the USS Midway; though not when Bearcats roamed her deck. Ever think of the greatest Naval aircraft of all time...the Hellcat?? (unless I missed it scrolling through your videos).

I get to muster every morning at the Naval Aviation Museum in Pcola Florida. There, they have one of these on display. While all the other aviators chit chat, I go over and see the Bearcat and the Corsair. I can never decide which one is my favorite warbird.

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE the Bates F8F. Ground level camera is FANTASTIC!! That 3 cyl radial actually has Pukata Pukata like the full scale. Love it. Thanks a million for posting! I must finish building the pattern planes. Then get hot on the scale kit's I've started!! I also have a 40 & 60 size F8F kits. Will build the 60 size & fly it in preparation for building & flying the 86" F8F. Thanks Mitch

Who else Fast-Forwards to see how smooth the landing is!?!? Especially warbirds... landings separate the "Men from the boys"! This landing was nice. (Did you notice the rescue chopper in the background?... they used to ground the models when they were in the neighborhood....usually training)

Incredible looking, and the sound of that radial is so awesome. I need a gas/nitro powered plane already. I haven't had a gas powered plane since my control line days as a kid in the 90s.

Great plane! I have the little brother from Flightline. It's fun to fly ... although I added some invasion stripes on the bottom to give a bit more contrast.

That gear! Nice. I wish MRC would make a 1.6m with the scale gear like that. Most model Bearcats just don't look right with super wide gear.
@Thercgeek3 жыл бұрын
Agreed! I’d love to see a little larger bearcat with scale gear. I’d get one in a heartbeat

Wow, beautiful detail. Saw a full size one do a flyby a few hundred feet away at an airshow once. I could sense the weight and power as it went by, kinda scary.

Where is this airfield in California exactly? I usually fly at Whittier Narrows .
@Thercgeek3 жыл бұрын
This is the OCMA field next to Irvine Lake.

@@Thercgeek oh! The place you have to pay a annual fee to fly at. Right?
@Thercgeek3 жыл бұрын
Well, most fields require that. This is their website: flyocma.com

@@Thercgeek Not Whittier Narrows. I've been going there over 7 years. Totally free Monday through Friday. Over the weekend and holidays you may pay a $6 fee just to get onto the park main grounds , but it's free to fly at the field with your AMA card. Now, there is a club that fly at the field. I believe you do have to pay a certain fee to become a member, but it's free to fly on the field otherwise with your AMA card. I may perhaps take a drive down to OCMA and check it out. Thanks for the quick response.🙂👍
