Rated EF2 .... (Started 7 miles north of Eldorado, OK, and lifted 5 miles east/south east of Duke, OK.) Travelled 15 miles total. A large, scary-looking tornado does not mean it's an EF4/5.... That house it was over.....that house would have been GONE if that was a true EF3/4. Sometimes we tend to get a little excited and create more drama than there is........ I didn't know that Jackson, County, OK, was in OKC's viewing area? I just moved here and I was told it was Wichita Falls, TX. My "local stations" are 3, 6, and 7. My neighbors tell me they all watch Wichita Falls. Man, Nebraska and Iowa have been hit the worst overall regarding Tornadoes. I have a bud who works at another station in OKC and he said their viewing area has been lucky this year regarding strong tornadoes. More weak tornadoes, strong winds, and large hail in their area. I am assuming News 9 has the same viewing area as the other stations up there in OKC. The Weather Channel listed these tornadoes as the only EF4 this year and ordered them based upon overall damage/wind speed. 1) Greenfield, IA - 185 mph 2) Barnsdale, OK - 180 mph 3) Marietta, OK, - 170 mph They also mentioned the Iowa has had the most tornadoes, so far, for 2024 per state.
