Really enjoy these "quiet time" videos where you get the time to look in a little more detail with not a lot of distractions and stuff. Some really great equipment out there. The green and white trucks that had the name "Henkels and McCoy" on them rang a bell with me - if it's the same company they're an east coast contractor I've worked with in the past and they do have an office in Pomona.

You guys are crazy and a lot of fun and I meant crazy in a good way. I just found this channel today after watching just 2 videos I subscribed. I’ll be watching some of y’all’s older videos just to get Caught up on everything. So far it’s just been great I love these semi trucks!! My daddy owned a trucking business so I grew up in Trucks back in that day mostly cabovers and then everything went to conventional cabs!! I loved all them old trucks riding in with my daddy. I miss my daddy and I miss the trucks too!! I was in a bad accident messed me up I’m disabled or I would still be driving a truck!! But I’m glad I found this channel I think I really enjoy it! Yes those are Transfer Trucks. Back in the day they were called Slam Bangs! They unhook and dump tractor tub/box. Then back up to trailer and slide rear tub/box into front tub/box and dump it. Look on KZbin for Transfer competition or Transfer Rodeos. Very cool to watch these guys work that unit to perfection. Love your channel and miss driving everyday, retired now. The trailer fenders on the transfers are sold by Superior Trailers they also make the trailers. The air tanks are for pushing the trailer boxes in & outa the truck box the white transfer has the oldscool starters to push em in & out instead of air they're easy to drive but harder to backup than 48/53 ft trailers

When the transfer drivers show up to the job site, they drop their trailers and dump their box on the truck first. When it's empty, they back up to the dump box on the trailer. They then transfer the dump box from the trailer into the truck box. They then dump that box. When done and empty, the reverse the process. They then go get another load.

In the UK we call the double dumpster a wagon and drag, I work for a large American parcel company here in the UK and drive a demountable box wagon and drag

That blue and white Lowry Trucking Peterbilt is probably based out of their Bakersfield yard. Those long wheelbase framed trucks are usually steel haulers.

Transfer Dumps also known as SLAM-BANGS... From the load noise they make when you put the Trailer can in the Truck Box. CAN IN THE BOX it's how you unload the Trailer guys the big air tanks are for opening and shutting and locking Trailer can in the box also to supply trailer plenty of air for the Tongue on the Trailer it picks it up by air in air canister same as brake pods . You have to lay it down by releasing all the air from the tongue it drops so you can back over it. Air is also used to release lock steering on tongue sometimes you have to turn front axle for whatever reason. Air locks Trailer can down to dolly frame so it don't bounce off. Then you back truck up by leaving it in reverse and there's a kill switch in the cab to shut engine down. Under the back by the flaps that also go up and down by air you push the button and it backs up to tongue in tell you can hook up pental hook latch. The Trailer can is on metal wheels that are Chain drivin, by a Chevy car or truck 350 cu. Starter. Powers it in and out of truck. There's a lot to The Transfer Dumps it takes a good very skilled Driver to Drive one. Hats off to my fellow transfer buddy's they earn there money that's for sure. If you can find a Driver for one I suggest having him tell you about them. Interesting conv. For sure I only mention half of the stuff you have to do and know. Have fun in Ca. It's Hot out here. Lol! Double flat bed 28’ft trailers you can fit more hay than a 53’ footer and yes you have the weight evenly distributed with the location of the axels. Sometimes the hay even hangs out on the front or back trailer so you have slide out cheaters to hold the weight. The low pro tires keep you low to the ground for that tall hay!

The transfer setup... Unhook the trailer dump the truck.. the tailgate is on air so you open that all the way open then back over the hitch of the trailer an then the dox on the trailer has air motors that drive it on the rails of the trailer an into the box on the truck an it latches in the box then you go dump that ... Then reverse the process to put it back on the trailer

Two things: where are the spectators and why wasn’t this event advertised locally? I live 15 minute from the Ventura fairgrounds and had no idea this was happening. As a retired driver, [ 50 years] and owner of some pretty shiny iron, I would have been there in a heartbeat. If this was explained in the video I apologize as I watched it with the sound off

hay trucks use doubles for more deck space=more bales, turning radius for dairy's or ditch banks around hay fields where they load. each trailer also has cheater platforms that pull out on each end to overhang bales past trailer deck ie: more deck space=more bales. also each axel is capable of grossing 20k exciept front whitch is 12k or 14k eaiser to leagle axel weights.

I have known Vinny since around 1995 and one thing about him he didn't start out selling drugs he did the right way in the beginning he was driving quad axel dump and he has had a few times he had his head up his ass and fuck up but turned out to be one of the good ones

The dump truck is a transfer truck. The bed on the trailer slides into the bed of the truck after the truck has been dumped and then the truck can dump the bed of the trailer. You guys don’t seem to be very smart about your truck schooling.

The transfer dump is they in un hook the trailer go dump the truck then come back push the dump off the trailer into the dump on the tractor then go drop it. They use those because California weight axle laws

The PT cruisers were a smashing pit do a retro people were getting 3,000 over sticker when they came out. The problem lies in the lacklustre performance horrible build quality. They finally put the same 2.4 that was in the SRT4 but it was too little too late. Interesting fact the designer of the PT cruiser also designed the HHR which were the total sales disaster
