Theravada has, like every other buddhist school, a unique charm to it. Vajrayana has their Mandalas, Pure Land their enormous courtyards, Nichiren their astonishing altars, Shingon has their fierce deities, Zen has their gardens and halls. What Theravada has is their details. On everything. You couldnt be bored to look at a Naga, because every single inch of it is full with minuscule detail, that together makes everything match. But sadly, as a Soto Zen/Shingon member, i will say that, in my opinion, our Sangha is the best, but i admire the Theravada School, because it also practice Dhyana, so it also practices the Silent Wisdom.

@@compassionlove2637 Probably you are a quite immature. Buddha has believed in reincarnation. Buddha Jatak, speaks of numerous rebirth Lord Goutam Buddha. When rebirth and reincarnation is taken in to consideration, atma is definitely there. So how did He denounce Atma? Buddhists, especially Tibetian Buddhists worship Mother Tara in many forms, Green Tara, Red Tara. Similar to Hindu worship of Tara. Main thing is that Lord Buddha was never a lier. He always told the truth and the very truth that he himself has realized. He hasn't spoken about anything that he has not seen or realized. In that occasions he has chosen to remain silent, rather than giving vague answers. All Buddhist mantras start with OMM as in Hinduism. Try to understand unifying points.
