Looks like Bed, Bath, & Beyond went To Infinity & Beyond! 🤯

Super cool items, but the funniest thing is how you were so blown away by one retail biz moving out of a building and another one moving in. LOL. I mean, those lattice stands are pretty easy to set up. Wow im blown away that this was a Bed Bath and Beyond and now its the autcion house..WHAT?? Mind BLOWN hahah

I remember you had the best video for the Richard Kraft auction (5 years ago! OMG), and you do again. Well done! I got one of the Donald Duck hats in the 70s. The plastic became extremely brittle eventually and fell apart over time. So it was exciting to see one preserved in great condition. The beak squeaked when you squeezed it! The Disneyland Toy Factory machine produced a hollow wax figure, not plastic, so it always cracked and/or was crushed within a few days if not on the trip home. I was always a sucker for those and got my parents to buy them at the San Diego Zoo, Sea World and Movieland Wax Museum too, of course. The Indiana Jones Ride model had the biggest line when I went to the exhibit on July 9. I also was told several times not to reach over the rope barricades for shots of things like the Tomorrowland '67 model, so I'm glad you were able to.

The most magical BB&B on Earth! As I am unable to attend this in person, I would love to see additional videos on this with more in-depth coverage of everything. Simply an incredible collection of stuff. I almost hate to see it get auctioned off rather than curated and archived in one single place to enjoy. Thanks for sharing!

By the way I’m writing on my son’s KZbin…I’m a 71 yr old woman who feels instantly young in the presence of Disneyland. PLEASE, do the live stream of the auction…we were glued to the “That’s from Disneyland" auction when you did that. We even flew down from Reno about a week before the auction, skipping a Park day, just to tour that amazing collection!

Red Wagon Inn was a wonderful restaurant on Main Street. Uncle Walt had a private "speakeasy" in their. My Mom & Dad were at Disneyland for dancing and my charismatic Dad and gorgeous Mom struck up a conversation with Walt & Lilly. My Dad was a USMC aviator and Walt loved planes. My Mom said she melted watching Walt dancing and adoring Lilly. They had drinks together to take a break from the "crowds". I never heard this story until the 1980’s! My Dad had such respect for Walt’s acumen. Plus Uncle Walt observed my brother working at the Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship and suggested he audition for the Jungle Cruise Skipper roll. My brother, 7 years my senior, seemed like anointed royalty to me as Uncle Walt’s "appointed" Skipper 😂

This... is Heaven. I would've loved to see someone make a bed or restaurant seating out of the old vehicles too.

Ok, now I know what I'd do if I won the lottery... The Doom Buggy and the Peter Pan ride vehicle would take up my entire living room but it'd be so worth it.

What a collection! So many neat things within there. Even though we probably can't afford the super cool stuff, it's fun to look at! Thanks!

We went this afternoon. So great. I saw a few things I had as a kid which was very nostalgic for me. Really amazing collection. I remember seeing the Swiss and Russian EPCOT pavilions (and “Mt Fuji” coaster at a different point) being advertised as “coming soon” in the preview center at the front of magic kingdom.

So wish I still lived in SoCal, would love to get in there to see those items in person! Yes! I would really enjoy seeing the auction if you can do that for this collection! Thx Max!

The skeletal animatronic in the Adventureland section is atop a platform stenciled "Great Moments", suggesting that it may have originally supported a figure of Abraham Lincoln.

Went to Disney World in 1987 with my late father, and the ghost hitchhikers really left an impression. I loved the special effects there, and I'm wondering if those ghosts are the same guys!

You too can own a piece of Disneyland history - if you're made out of money. Like most people, I'm not. So I'm going to be satisfied with touring the exhibit. I've been through once already and figure to go at least once more before the auction. The one piece I'd want, if such a thing we were possible, is the Captain Hook's Galley sign from Fantasyland. I hadn't seen that in forty years and never expected to see it again. Very cool as a Disney artifact but I also like it graphically. I know Van Eaton deals in other things, too but I appreciate having them nearby as a sort of renewable Disney museum.

What an incredible amount of amazing Disney history all in one place. If you had an endless pocket of money what would you buy?

It's amazing, so much of this you'd think would either go to Disney Archives or be destroyed. How did he buy these, especially recent things like the Hitchhiking Ghosts? Intriguing.

Just saw this exhibition. I honestly thought Richard Kraft's collection was far more impressive. This is a great collection, but Kraft's just blew me away. 😊
@MichaelGanschowGreen Жыл бұрын
Kraft’s looked much more well "staged". Those Parking Lot signs he had cracked me up. I can remember shouting "Remember, we are parked in Goofy!"
@sticksmcfly Жыл бұрын
@@MichaelGanschowGreen I agree the staging was better, and the novelty of it all being the first time. It was promoted as a "That's From Disneyland" pop-up exhibit, and then you found out later it was an auction. McGee's collection was bigger than Kraft's, 6000 items total, but the greeter at the door said it was only a partial exhibit of it all.
