Wow! That’s a lot of garlic, that’s impressive I only grown garlic once I am impatient to see how it’s going underneath so I gave up on root crops except kamote (growing it for the tops only) 😊

Pickled garlic is fab....I use my fav dill pickle brine. It really mellows the taste.

@@RobinGardens alright, I'll give it a go

Hard work. I like the the taste of Musik, Chesnok red, and German red. Armenian is my newest fav though. Have not tried my Red Toch or Spanish Rojo yet...still curing. Did you happen to give any extra nitrogen? I give a good dose of bone meal at planting and 2 feeds of liquid nitrogen in spring. Try a 2" layer of crushed fall leaves as a mulch. It was a game changer for my garlic game.

@RobinGardens still improving the fertilizing scheme. I do leaf mulch very well in the fall.

@@JoyoftheGardenandHome Ya it's a chore sometimes but we try very hard to make Sundays "Lotions and Potions" day and fertilize what needs it. I go on a margin hunt in the late part of August into September here when all the stuff goes on sale. That's when I try to stock up. Mostly I do well on the organic granular vs the liquid feeds. Walmart seems to have the very best sales, but I've done well at Home Depot and Lowes too.
