Scotty Ernst is just the best. When he was still at his shop near Milwaukee running Tamiya races he was the same guy. He went through the pits talked to everyone. I was working with a school club. When he introduced me for the "D" Main in Tamiya Mini he mentioned our club. He called the "D" just like it was the "A" Main. When you know him he will always try to promote the things you're doing. He is a great person and the pied piper for r/c racing. He's genuine and as you know he makes you feel good about what you're doing. You should feel good about the things you're doing. Ignore any haters out there.

Just got in the Hobby about 6 months ago, Hopefully The First Mystery box will still be available when I get my VA pay at the end of the month. Right now I only race 10th scale carpet but eventually I see my self doing it all. This is a great and fun hobby to be in and a lot of great people to be around.

I raced off road short course hardcore from 2000 - 2004. My local track, Coppers RC in VA changed their inside off road track into the fastest dirt oval on the east coast in 03. I didn't think I would like dirt oval as much but it turned out to be very fun and very challenging. I won the 2003 points championship limited class my first yr racing dirt oval in 03. I got to race with Tony Stewart there also. The track is about 20mins from Martinsville Speedway so when Tony was in town he would stop by and race with us. Fun vid Mark 👍🏻✌🏻

Usually stick to the standard like all other forms of racing. 4 min heats and mains. Occasionally mains are by lap (30-40) depending on track size.

Love the vids bro! Those 1/5/1/6 RC motors can be used for Power wheel upgrade motors! from 5-8mph stock to 22-30mph in a Power wheel using those 1/5 scale torque motors and a 12v bike battery! You can literally drift in them and blow up tires! I sold my sons i built when he was 5 at our G sale 5 years ago for $300,we literally clocked it using two of those motors ,rear duel drive at 24 mph on plastic, rubber banded tires with a 80lb kid driving it! Ours weren’t brushless though in 2007! It was the $400 maroon PW escalade,we did head lights and under body neons too. I know you may think 22-30 mph isn’t fast,but when you see it pull on a scooter and a go cart with a 6-9 year old driving it you’d change your mind I promise! This was before YT of of course! Like a dummy i lost all the video on a old laptop years ago ;.(.. I’m subbing,please do the same! Maybe we can make some trades in the future! Thanks my man! Ultra

Wow. Cool to see the Chilli Jr. is still going. I quit going to the Chilli Bowl Jr. years ago. Every single A-main race of mine was ruined by people crashing and going full-wood all the time. Well...one race wasn't ruined by crashes: There was one 1/10 Nitro EDM race that was fine cause there was enough time to avoid the rollovers and spin outs. But 8th scale nitro latemodels...gah those people just didn't have a care about ruining other people's race. After several years of that...that's not the type of racing I wanted my kids and friends growing up with. Hopefully Mr. Ernst has influenced drivers to do better these days.

After being in the hobby +30 years, I believe the oval crowd is low key toxic. Individually, they are friendly, but every time Oval takes over an off-road track, the club scene dies within a 6 - 12 month. I have seen it first hand at many tracks. Every. Single. Time. they will kill the club scene. Only thing I can figure is (maybe?) the racing is more stressful, because there is often more Drama, both on and off track, compared to Off-road, which drives racers away.
