This is Lance’s dad - he goes through a lot with Phantom pain every day - except for the ones closest to him you would never know it. I am so thankful that God gave him a job that he is really good at and he loves it! David was one of the best and hard-working young lineman on my crew. Their greatest asset is they love the lord🙏👍

@@jameswatson4110 Hi James!! Thanks for sharing more of Lances story!! You are absolutely right, Lance, David, and the first commenter Cliff, their greatest asset is Loving our Lord! I was in a terrible car accident when I was 17 years old and now 50 years later, if I wouldn't of believed/loved in our God, I have no idea where I would be today! I just know, it wouldn't of been a happy place! Have a Great Day!!! 🤗♥️🙏🏼

@@jameswatson4110 God bless U and your family, Sir!♥️♥️♥️ I AM Sure that your son is and will have difficult days for the rest of his Life. People such as US(he & I) just recover and keep living life Adapting to the New Challenges and Disadvantages that Our circumstances continually Present...Day by Day! That WE make it Look or Seem easy, when in ALL actuality....it's the Spirit and Grace of God, sustaining US. And, people who haven't experienced such battles simply Can't understand it whenever WE say, "But, for God...."♥️♥️♥️ Anyway, I thank you for responding. I just wanted to let Your Son KNOW that He is AMAZING!😁😁😁 And, I was truly watching the video Hoping that He would explain His injury....and He Did! People need to KNOW about God's Love for His children! And, I see people Daily who experience LESS than He or I, and They just resolve to being Handicapped and voluntarily become Invalids! But, see....I Know that Lance was ALWAYS A LEADER and God's, Spirit would not Allow Him to Quit at Life!....I Knew That!✌️✌️✌️

So glad to hear your friend is doing so well. I worked for the utility in New Orleans when Katrina hit. We spent 14 months in temporary housing in Mississippi trying to get things back to something like normal. We could never have done it without all the brave linemen who risked their lives. People have no idea what that job entails and that you guys are first responders too. I pray for all the linemen every time there is a storm. Thank you.

My daddy retired from Virginia Power (VEPCO) after 43 years. I remember how things are during a big storm. We had one come through here while a union was on strike; but, some folks wanted to work. The money is great & it's an essential community service. At the time, my dad was a supervisor. We opened our yard and home for the crews to park their vehicles and have an operational base. I have deep respect for the work and electricity. God bless Lance and his family. As a survivor of Stage IV Grade 3 cancer, I sometimes wonder why I'm still here. Sometimes I feel like I mess things up more than I do good. 😜 I have 4 wonderful, successful children and 2 beautiful grandbabies. I do know that they get the best of me; and, I enjoy every single second I get with them! Thank you for always sharing your faith, wildlife adventures, family and friends with us. I guess ya could say, we get the best of you! 😉 I went over to Mona's channel; because, she has such a neat personality and I would like to travel like her one day. I'm enjoying her videos too! God bless you and your family ~ 💝🙏💞

God Bless You BOTH! Got a chance to talk to a nephew of a mechanic I've known most of my life. He was starting out with the local co-op training to be a lineman and was on an underground job and was told to go on in the ditch that the line(s) were dead by TWO ENGINEERS and got blown right back out. Young and tough and had to have some surgeries and whatnot but went right back at it. I asked him if he'd been listening to any more engineers and he grinned really big and shook that head NO. That's a standing joke between us. Trust NOBODY but Jesus when it involves your life! Got a pal that worked textile plants in SC and now does rock crusher stuff and the 1st thing he grabs is his meter. His Bible is in his heart! Bless You Head Knockers!

I'm going to have Glen Campbell's song, Wichita Lineman, in my head for days now after hearing you talk about you and Lance working as linemen. I'm glad he at least survived that freak accident. He sure does seem to have adapted to doing everything with only one hand. Good for him! That sow was a good-sized pig. She won't win a prize for largest pig but you sure can get a lot of bacon and sausage out of her! I grew up on a farm and our sow had more piglets than she could take care of so we fed the runt with a baby bottle. He would scoot under the fence and come running up to our backdoor and grunt until we heard him and went out to give him his bottle and then he would run back to join his mama and his brothers and sisters. Because he did so much grunting, we called him Grunt-Grunt and he became our pet and when the day came that Dad was going to butcher him, we all started crying, begging Dad not to butcher him because we all said that we would never be able to eat Grunt-Grunt. So Dad (ahem) gave him to a man way out on a farm who would allow him to run free and live his best life. I hate to even think how long we believed that story and how long it took us to figure out that the mild-mannered farmer who provided him with a peaceful life probably butchered him before Dad even got back home from his farm. At least for a few years we were happy thinking that Grunt-Grunt was living wild and free on that far-away farm! Actually, the pork we ate that next winter may have been Grunt-Grunt but thankfully at the time that didn't occur to us, and Dad never mentioned his name again.

funny how you said they cant resist the sweet stuff, sounds like the story of my life, lyou will never be unemployeed due to lack of pigs to catch. I heard last numbers at 9 million and in miss over 500,000 and in michigan, can you believe it michigan? they have hogs in 20 counties. wow, even canada said they have them there too.l what a adaptable crittor. that story was horrible how that man lost his hand, I was wondering about that, but was afraid to ask. ohio has them too in some southern counties, i have never seen one here where I live but I can only imagine the forests of southern ohio. while it is a shame you have to destroy as many as possible I do understand the need for it. they hurt farmers (and we ultimatly have to buy our food from them) hurt wild life, damage the ecosystem terribly bad and serve no good purpose for the forests/swamps.
