Check out Camp Mabry, Austin. Smaller battle but it has a scenario to the battle. The Tank Museum from Bryan also brings in tanks.

good reenactment, but you got to have a few guys fall down, a battle where no one dies??
@revy1x9 жыл бұрын
+2005interceptor lol that crazy what da point then if theres no one to kill or like why try
@vallim599 жыл бұрын
I think that one reason not many people die on the floor is because they had tanks driving around and for the sake of safety they didn't want people all over the ground.
@Tigerman7warfighter8 жыл бұрын
+Val Lim very possible, I'll be doing this this year and don't plan on getting ran over :3!!!

+2005interceptor I saw one fall down as an injured who was shot, but there were medics around him and it appears later on he gets back up and joins back in.

What the heck was a KV-1 and soviet soldiers doing with the Americans. The two armies only met at Torgau during WWII

I don't know why, but dispite all the "effort" these guys have given for the reenactment, I find this rather boring. Instead of walking/standing around or.. wondering what to do on the battlefield, they could act better as soldiers, taking cover, changing positions, dodging bullets, etc. That's just my opinion though, and I don't want to offend anyone, BUT they should really enchance their acting skills.

I agree. If I was in the audience there I would have left after the first ten minutes of nothing happening.

I am a reenactor, and as one I can tell you I fully agree. But we do have battles called a tactical, which is closed to the public. In those we do portray the battles to the best of our abilities with out the use of live ammunition and real casualties. As far as the public battles, like in this video there are 'rules' if you will. The people or property owners who host it, kind of dictate certain events, example: the tanks sit there and shoot for 20 minutes until the airplanes come in and attack. I hope this helps change your view. With the acting portion, since its a non profit organization, you cant discriminate on people who reenact. So yes there are "soldiers" who are completely the out of regulations for that time era as far as age, weight, grooming standards, and so forth. The cheesing getting killed acts are just to get a crowd reaction, because it is a show.

patrick jones My bother is a re-enactor. The tactical are a lot different than this. they are the real deal. They have vets come out and watch some of the Full Immersion battles they do. Its a sight to see.

Jordan Jordanov the thing with public battles is the space to maneuver is limited.
