One of the things that I hate about modern day zombies is that there is no real characters, just skins and specialists. Part of the magic of zombies was hearing Dempsey yelling something to Nikolai, and him yelling something back. It was cool seeing your characters interact with one another and the world around them. I hope they get rid of the specialists in future zombies and have a group of main characters that create that magic.

ye. theyve shown that they can make likable characters too. the chaos crew was hated at first but in ancient evil they seem a lot more likable, especially scarlet.

I feel getting rid of the DLC cycle and map packs got rid of treyarch ls incentive to make a map jam packed with features and story to get people to buy it and we at least had a guarantee of four round based maps now people are okay with getting “ new enemy types “ as the only added feature in a season because it’s free I swear bro WE HAD IT SO GOOD

Why doesn't Call of Duty make normal round based maps with optional objectives similar to Outbreak which don't progress rounds but give the players rewards? It'd be like an updated and more fun trial system tbh.

Optional objective is basically just side Easter eggs and the main Easter egg which round-based zombies already had lol. But I get what you mean, that would make sense. A more in-depth trial system with straight forward optional objectives

The sad part is that BO4 probably had the biggest budget of ANY zombies game ever created until right after launch. You can literally see that the map designers put their heart and soul into every zombies map created but the gameplay system SUCKED in bo4 and it completely ruined the game. Cold War had the opposite issue where gameplay was fantastic but the maps were mediocre. In their defense, they took over the game from Sledgehammer and had way less time to create the content for Cold War zombies than previous games. @@bananaman5704
