I remember something really annoying when DLCs for BO3 came out was, in BO2 xbox players were able to get the DLCs an entire month BEFORE Playstation. But they swapped that for BO3's DLC cycle. Which may explain why most of BO3's glitches were on PS4.

9:51 The Dark Aether storyline is actually told very similarly to how most of Bo1 Zombies story is told. We just got accustomed to the crazy cutscenes in Bo3 and half of Bo4 with all the fantasy elements.

@Risccii When you think about the story in it's entirety it's actually pretty interesting and a pretty solid next chapter after Aether. People just weren't fucking with the intel system and didn't know what to pay attention to. And having no canon operators to play as and add input to their surroundings also didn't help gauge people's interest. I was in the same boat as Lex and a lot people until I really dove into Dark Aether.

It just makes for a more negative community response, bc a lot of people don't even know what's going on. Just playing the maps and not getting the Intel makes for a more confused story and going through it all takes forever now that it's all released. Not bad story just bad execution.

@@Riscciiyeah I think this is the point that people don’t get. The actual Story/lore of the DA story is pretty interesting and the characters like Sam, Grey and Weaver are fairly well written… in the Intel. Not in the game. That’s the problem, and it alienates anyone who doesn’t collect/read/listen to the Intel. If you watch Ch0pper’s retrospective on BOCW I think it’s pretty clear this was a big side effect of the pandemic. What can you do in a pandemic? Write mountains and mountains of dialogue. It seems to me that it ended up being the case here with CWZ. It’s almost like if BO3 had no cutscenes outside of the final one and all the dialogue during the EE steps and Intros was put into a codex for us to read. Cool stuff, but not well executed. Hopefully 2024 uses the Intel as a way To add color and more context to the story instead of actually using it to tell the story.

For anyone wanting to know: shocking you’re self with the Waffe doesn’t take away your jug. It pauses your healing and you can become a one-shot down for multiple rounds if you do it. The red screen isn’t connected to healing in WaW and is just a visual thing since your heal slower than the red screen disappears

Yep, the nuketoen mailbox names are just because, but it also appeared in nuketowns first appearence in multiplayer as well. Each iteration since till bo4 include Mason and Woods names on the mailboxs.

The reason the houses on BO2 have Mason and Woods on the mail boxes was because that's what the OG Nuke Town had for the mailboxes in BO1 multiplayer

WW2 zombies is technically canon to the treyarch zombies storyline because it’s in the same universe as WW2 multiplayer and captain butcher serves a significant role in mp. Butcher even makes an appearance in a bunker under verdansk before season 1 of vanguard.

I think the Dark Aether story is only bad because it hasnt really been given the opportunity to be good yet. Cold War's story was *solid*, but because Treyarch had to split their studio during Vanguard and MWZ, which led to a mid story in both games. Hopefully it'll pick up in BO6
