(Considering Isildur was pretty useless with a longsword, had an attack which took his opponent by surprise striking at a weak point using his shortened sword, betrayed his allies for personal profit at a critical moment, had a parent die as part of his tragic backstory and was proficient at avoiding detection, the case could be made that he was a rogue and thus used his cunning action dash to get to the top of Mount Doom before Elrond).

Baldur's Gate 3 saved my life, I was completely lost after my father's death, I couldn't work, I couldn't study, I didn't even want to eat. Last year, I gave life a chance and started playing Baldur's Gate 3, since I've always been a fan of the Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2 games. And I confess, it may seem silly, but I was able to feel alive again after enjoying this work of art, gave me the anxiety of living every day to be able to enjoy this beautiful work that Larian Studio created. I know the history of this company, I know that Swen Vincke gave his blood to make it what it is today, I am eternally grateful for what you, the Larian team, created, for me Baldur's Gate 3 was more than an experience, it was a life therapy.

I think a lot of people underestimate how impactful a great work of art like a video game can be. They aren't just entertaining. Also for anyone not in the loop. China of all the countries in the world actually did a massively positive thing for the gaming world. At least for Chinese people as of now. They implemented new laws that prohibit game developers from implementing or keeping gatcha-like and other predatory systems. Such as rewarding daily logins, loot boxes and other chance based monetary schemes! I hope this translates into law and rule changes outside of China. Since it will most definitely bring back better times, like before they implemented all this bovine excrement.

This is wonderful stuff. LOTR trilogy cemented Tolkien into fantasy mainstream and the movie adaptations reminded us of what "instrumental" means. Tolkien spawned so many videogames in the fantasy / RPG genre it's insane - including D&D. Fast forward yet some years more, and we have BG3 - the complete masterclass of all of the above. Maybe life isn't so bad after all when you experience yourself rolling a 20 twice in your life with this stuff :)
