Epic video and pictures. What are your brief thoughts on renting a car and staying in lodges etc. As opposed to a campervan vacation?
@LarissaDening Жыл бұрын
Thankyou! I did rent a car the first time I went to NZ and it was great too! If you don’t like campervanning then driving and hotels is a more comfortable way to do it! 😊

Hello Larrisa, thanks for inspiration. Beautiful video. I will also start my journey soon and im gathering as much info as possible. Can you please let me know which company you got the campervan from? I am looking for a budget option if you have any recommendations. Thank you.
@LarissaDening Жыл бұрын
Hi George, thanks for watching! I used Wilderness campers which are great but not a budget option but they are only based out of Christchurch. The budget option we used from Queenstown was Jucy and they were fine to use. I guess it depends on the size that you need. I hope you have an awesome time over there!

I've got 2 weeks in November to campervan NZ, I'm excited but nervous. I want to see and do as much as possible but not feel rushed all the time :/ What would be the best times to drive place to place, evening? night? morning? day? I have so many questions but i'll leave it with that, thanks :)
@LarissaDening Жыл бұрын
That’s awesome Katie! The roads aren’t busy so driving any time is fine. If you are going to free camp at all it’s probably best to get to your destination before dark so you can see what’s around and where to park! The end of November is Lupin season so make sure you head to Lake Tekapo for that! 😊💕
@katiepaine Жыл бұрын
@@LarissaDening Ok thanks for the advice, i'll be there mid-november so hopefully the Lupins will greet me :) So i guess it's best to do the driving after morning, or maybe early morning. This is my first time doing a campervan, and first time in NZ. I heard from another NZ video that it's not necessary to pre-book a boat tour in Milford Sound because there's always room in the mornings before the tour busses arrive. Do you have any advice on that? Thanks :)
