70 years old, and I discovered Larkin Poe only a few weeks ago! I've been listening to everything I can find of them ever since. What a stunningly good band - I haven't been so impressed by an American act since I discovered Little Feat back in the 70s - these young women and their band are up there in the same league!

Although they have the old sound, they aren't repeating the old music. Their songs and riffs are new to my ears. Rebecca and Megan both have their own styles. I can hear their continuing development every year. I feel like Rebecca's guitar playing has elevated to a new level this year. If you can, check them out live - it's a treat.

The best LP concert. The girls are in great form and really enjoy themselves, the recording is of tthe best quality. German TV has done an excellent job with the editing and the sound is A1 throughout. Even the audience is great.Thanks for the great music! So rare these days.

Larkin Poe has had at least 3 drummers over the years . This show deliberately does not play Bleach Blonde Bottle Blues where the new guy constantly falls short of great . Kevin the previous drummer was fantastic metronome like machine at Ringo Star like skill level . This guy is good enough replacement as long as they keep Bleach Blonde Bottle Blues off the playlist. The sub. Dividing on that requirement is very steep .

First time I have heard of them and first time I hear them. I am having one of thoes nights just roaming about and everything I have listened to has been exceptionally good. For some reason I am getting a Rory Gallagher feeling from this I think its the endings when the song is over it is nailed bang and the slide is totaly on the note not , looking for it. I wonder what I will land on next I think it's going to be all good stuff , I will have to write them down. Before this I WAS getting big names playing together and having a blast with each other and bringing out the best in each other and smiling like nowing your good and thinking well I will remember this gig forever and so will everyone here tonight the band will be glad they turned up for this one. I won't forget watching and hearing this glad I turned up and its free.

A bit of trivia ... Larkin Poe is their great great great great grandfather, who was a cousin of Edgar Allen Poe. Larkin owned a farm in North Georgia, not far from Chattanooga. The farm was burned by the Confederates during the Battle of Chickamauga, one of the most significant battles of the Civil War. Angry about losing his farm, Larkin, a Confederate teamster, took his family north to escape, switched sides and joined the Union Army, supporting the Union for the rest of the war.
