LARKIN POE Talks Sibling Rivalry, New Album and Touring with Elvis Costello

I'm way late to the Larkin Poe party having (for shame!) assumed that because a lot of the coverage early on included so much attention to their admittedly gorgeous looks that they were likely to be an act without substance. Though that was stupid, the experience of discovering them slowly, over time, and always for something delightful, smart, powerful helped me see that these musicians are both fantastic performers and writers, but also authentic human beings who are smart, funny, empathetic, and kind. We talk about "catching people in the act of being good" (instead of wrongdoing) and every time I see Larkin Poe in performance, being interviewed, or you name it, and they show themselves to be just so enjoyable and admirable. I am so thankful for humans like these who add so much to the world we all live in.

Well, "chatty" is one possible description, but she speaks with intelligence and also creates a great rapport with an audience. She and Megan are both articulate and a pleasure to listen to, musically or otherwise.

the younger sister may have a different agenda than the older. I think the older wants to stay true to her roots, and the younger can taste the stardom. their home videos are great ,but their studio stuff is so overly produced and commercial.I dont like saying this .I hope they stay true to the music they love.
