There are so many things to love about Rebecca and Megan, but what has always truly impressed me is their absolute love of music and how seriously they take their craft. Thank you for taking us inside of your creative process. You bring a great deal of intelligence and emotion to your art. As a fan, I am equally thrilled that Venom and Faith has been nominated for a Grammy. It is really an excellent album. I'm also very happy that you both signed my vinyl copy of the album at the Monterey Jazz Festival. I treasure it; it will never be played by me. It's a fan copy. I have another vinyl copy of the album that I play. Hope you guys win the Grammy. Look forward to more creative and extraordinary music from both of you. Look forward to seeing you perform live again. You are our true blues sisters! 👍😊🎸😎

I just wanted to say I'm really grateful to hear you talk about self-producing and the importance of representation. I remember a Lula Wiles interview earlier this year where one of them mentioned that everyone's always been talking about Joni Mitchell as a singer and a songwriter, but if people had also talked about the fact that she self-produced most of her records, that would have inspired and empowered other women to go after production roles as well. I definitely hope and believe you will inspire other women to give it a try and that's so amazing and important! Also, congrats on the nomination, hope you win!

Regardless of what's "under the hood", your music has wonderful authenticity. It's great to see an occasional video of you performing with others or hear your album tracks but youtube videos with just the two of you showing what you can do together with no bells or whistles blow me away.

Never tune. Your albums are amazing, but seeing you onstage (even with the limitations of KZbin) is the real experience. We want your reality in every piece of your music. Just as we wanted from the masters of blues, or The Beatles, or the Allman Brothers, or all those artists who used the technology at their disposal in their moment, but never surrendering their essence, their talent, their truthfulness, their humanity, as you aptly put it.

I love listening to Larkin Poe. It’s rare for more than a few days to go by without giving Peach or Venom and Faith a listen. I’m going to paraphrase something I heard Derek Trucks say in an interview. He said he wouldn’t go see some one because they were good. He had to feel them. I feel Larkin Poe.

You both are setting the foundations for all the future small independent artists, using the computer to supplement and add extra texture to your already great vocals, helps to keep your costs down and to have that connection with us fans.

I could listen to you talk about music all day! Lessons on production, songwriting, composition, etc would engage fans and allow you to connect in a wholly unique way for musicians. Like "I'm going to teach you how to play Mississippi on guitar *cough ukulele cough*" and then next day the new awesome Mississippi video drops. That is a much deeper connection

Please never lose the 'humanity' part of either your performances or your recordings..it would turn even you into just another overly produced sound, and you never want that. Don't think you could lose the sister connection even if you tried, it's to ingrained..as it's part of who you are as performers. Thank you for this interesting look into some of the making of this, and if you want to include some video of you laying down the vocals and instruments..well I can only speak for myself, but would Love to see it!

Thanks for the insight! Very interesting. You guys are inspiring, being so natural! I am happy for independent music receiving this amount of recognition! :) Excited to see you in Vienna again next year :) And yes: Live is what makes it magic, and creates the connection to the audience. Having experienced a band live makes listening to recordings later so different, through power of unconscious association. And performing often gives artists IMO this special traits and skills which cannot be reproduced even with the most fancy programming and engineering.

Hey Megan and Rebecca, loved listening to you discuss your process and other stuff. This level of connection you have developed with your fans is rather very special I feel. When you talked about creating your own label, production and storytelling and the values you have with respect to these, I felt I was cheering you on even more, as I have always done. I also think keeping the freshness and spontaneity is a key element in music; especially if you want people to keep returning to it. There's a crack, where the light gets in.Lots of love.**

I was knocked out by your show in Reno last February, and as cold as it was for for this Hawai`i boy, y'all heated that room up quick. On your way back from Aukland, please bring your smoking hot roots music to the 5-O. Good venues would be Hawaiian Brian's or the Paliku Theater in Honolulu. Richard Thompson has played them both, so you'd be in good company. Also, there's the Blue Note. Thank you for sharing your creative process. It's so cool to see how music can be made today.
