Didn't like the Birdman, back when. West Coast fan, LAKERS, SONICS. Now seeing his gameplay. He was the Man.

I LOVE Larry, he made me pick up the ball in Italy when basketball was not very popular, at the time I thought you needed a certain athleticism to play, Larry proved to me that if you know how to play, you know how to play.

In one video when Larry was asked about his "trash talking", he said that telling the other player what he was going to do fired him up. Larry thrived on competition. Letting your opponent know what you're going to do and the opponent being unable to stop you to him meant that he had accomplished a more difficult play. The opponent is left without excuse for why they didn't stop you.

I forget who it was but an opponent rolled up on Larry as a game was starting and Larry said to him "You guarding me?" When the guy answered that he was, Larry looked around and said "Just you? You aren't double-teaming me? You got a LONG night ahead of you, Holms."

There are several "athletic" players in the NBA today....that have no idea how to actually play basketball! What happened to players learning the fundamentals??!

Solid.. you have become my favorite Bird Channel.. Dude, you laugh out loud like us... are totally wiped out with what Larry does to everybody... We watched the games back then in the 80's ... Best Basketball time ever.... more fun to watch vintage Magic and Bird than new games any day.

Larry Bird just loved the Challenge and he was playing Horse but they were aloud to guard him!!! Larry Bird Legend G.O.A.T. 1 Larry Bird, 2 Gary Payton, 3 Reggie Miller, 4 Michael Jordan, 5 Kobe Bryant....

It's these stories that so many NBA players tell about Bird that prove time after time how great Bird was. GOAT? In this story it was the NBA finals. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, James Worthy, Magic Johnson and Michael Cooper were on the floor for the Lakers. Bird told them exactly what was going to happen and even after all that they could not stop him. Show me the stories about any other player in NBA history who did this even close to what Bird did and at the time of the game Bird did it. There is nobody that comes remotely close and that is why if I had one player to choose in any situation in would be Bird.

Great vid man. I gotta go with your top five, with Bird, Payton and Miller top 3 in that order. Maybe Payton #1, Bird #2, Reggie at #3.

Everybody knew when it came to a point like that in the game who was getting the ball ... and of course it was Larry Bird! The fans knew it ...the opposing team knew it....& it was up to them to try and stop it! Lol.

Even in the one game where he did not hit the 3 pointer to win the game, didn't he tell the Pat Riley, Lakers' coach "I can't believe you left me open like that, Riley. You lucked out". Maybe if they had guarded him better, he would have hit it.

I rewatch a lot of reaction to Larry Bird I think he is called the legend for a reason and I'm not even a basketball fan but I love Larry Bird and his personality my favorite story about him is him saying you're disrespecting him by guarding him with a white guy😅😅😅 and I don't remember who said it but they said Michael Jordan made you look slow but Larry Bird made you look stupid which is much worse than my opinion😅😅😅😅
