This whole series was great! Though I should probably clarify at 19:57 that this change actually happened around 2013. Mr. Lunt still had a set of teeth, but his gold tooth was removed after "Little House That Stood" likely because Dreamworks was worried it would come off as offensive

I was obsessed with Larry Boy as a kid. I even outright claimed him as my favorite superhero way back in the day While I haven’t seen anything featuring him since Bad Apple, it is nice to know that he went out on a high note with those episodes of The VeggieTales Show Thanks for making this retrospective series. It felt strangely nostalgic to see what became of Larry Boy after I dropped off of VeggieTales

Veggietales in the House is an abomination... But there are a _few_ clever jokes here and there. One of my favorites was when Larry was selling lemonade and lying about it, and Mr. Lunt says "you said this lemonade would make my eyes visible, but they still aren't visible" or something along those lines. Motato can be pretty fun sometimes too, but for the most part he's just annoying... Despite this he's still one of the few actually good characters in the show.

dude this series has been amazing!!!! From the editing to the information- you're the GOAT Also one thing you may find interesting- following 'TVS', they made a podcast series with recasted voices. In one episode, Larry and Bob leave the studio to drive the LarryMobile and rescue Mr. Lunt from... idk, a flamingo or something. As they're riding, Bob says 'wow Larry, I can't believe LarryBoy let you use his car!' and Larry gets nervous that Bob is going to discover his identity. idk how that lines up with any of the previous canon.

GREAT Video. So much great information in one place. Certainly a sad story. Though I have a minor note in Veggietales in the House/City the Super team is called "The League of Veggie Heroes". Why they changed the name I have no idea! Also I could be wrong but Nicole C. Mullen (the gospel Singer) and David Mullen Still own the rights to the Original Larryboy theme song. So that was my assumption for why it wasn't included in the "Veggietales show"

Well I guess they didn't want to have the two sets of superhero teams to have the same name that would be very confusing and it's very odd that larura has decided to call herself "night pony" like she's supposed to be a pj mask (not on the actual team though) but just like them she's supposed to be like only fighting at nighttime yet she also fights in the daytime it's like how the miraculous ladybug theme song always starts marinette claiming in the "daytime" I'm marinette just a "normal" girl with a "normal" life like it sounds like she's only supposed to fight crime at night yet she also fights in daytime!

I came across this today after hearing that in 2026, a Larry-Boy feature film is due to be released. As my kids aged out of VeggieTales, I completely lost sight of what was happening with the series. It's a tragic but predictable end, although now I'm curious just who is involved in making this third VeggieTales movie and what the details will be going forward. Great job on this series of vids, I honestly hadn't seen any Larry-Boy after the Bad Apple (my boys loved that PS2 game).

Fun Fact: According to concept art of the Rumor Weed, the original Larrymobile from Fib was supposed to be used, I think they changed the design because of the drilling machine, because one of the concept images shows the Fib Larry-Mobile in the Larry-Cave, while another image shows the Larry-Plane with both the cockpit of the Fib Larry-Plane and the front of the Rumor Weed/VeggieTales Show Larry-Plane. Also, another image shows that the original Larry-Cave was meant to be the shape of the Larry-Signal.

Of all the Larryboy episodes that they made, I mainly like all four of the ones that are part of the original Veggietales, I did sort of like the cartoon series a bit along with 321 penguins, but I decided that I prefer him cgi, (which I mainly like Veggietales over the other two direct-to-video shows: 321 penguins and the cartoon Larryboy). That would be of course Larryboy and the fib from outer space, Larryboy and the rumour weed, Larryboy and the bad apple and the league of incredible vegetables. Any other ones from Veggietales that are my favourites (and that I only like too) are where’s god when I’m scared, god wants me to forgive them, are you my neighbour, rack shack & Benny, Dave and the giant pickle, the toy that saved Christmas, very silly songs, Josh and the big wall, Madame blueberry, the end of silliness, king George and the ducky, Esther the girl who became queen, Lyle the kindly Viking, the ultimate silly song countdown, Jonah a Veggietales movie, the star of Christmas, the wonderful world of auto-tainment, the ballad of little Joe, an Easter carol, a snoodle’s tale, sumo of the opera, for bonus favourites Bob and Larry’s how to draw and veg-o-Rama jukebox, Duke and the great pie war, Minnesota Cuke and the search for Samson’s hairbrush, lord of the beans, Sheerluck Holmes and the golden ruler, Gideon tuba warrior, Moe and the big exit, god made you special, the pirates who don’t do anything movie, Saint Nicholas, twas the night before Easter, princess and the popstar, the penniless princess and the little house that stood.
