IMO the quality took a bit of a dip in season 9, went back up in season 10 then dropped big time in season 11. I haven’t started Season 12 yet so I’m not sure how it compares

@madebyporter: Arguably, *Curb* dipped in quality after Season 5, specifically having the last episode titled *The End*. Subsequent episodes were decent but somehow felt like filler (notably Larry’s romance with Loretta Black and later, with Irma Kostrovsky

you walk into someone else’s house, you follow their customs as a guest to a reasonable extent. asking to remove your shoes is reasonable.

Agreed but it can be a bit of an issue if you don't know in advance. Occasionally people don't wear matching socks, you might fear there's an odour or (as Larry said) you might feel cold.

Disagree with the shoes in the house thing You can’t invite people over without telling them about the shoes thing beforehand UNLESS it is a normal custom in the country you are currently in And then get upset when they don’t want to take their shoes off In Japan The world would get the point But in the US 99.9% of households wear shoes inside ESPECIALLY when you have company over I mean I can see both sides to the argument though so it could go either way But personally I would find it extremely odd if someone invited me over and then said “you must remove your shoes”

I’ve never understood how people can walk all around the house in their shoes. I used to think it was a TV thing but seems like it’s more of an American thing. Even in Canada where I live it’s common practice to remove your shoes when you enter a house. Obviously Curb takes place in America but I think asking people to remove their shoes when they enter your house is 100% justified so I’m still giving the World the point

@@irman925 yeah, I saw that bit as kind of irrelevant to the judgement. And I don't think the solution to his complaint was offering to just give him the commission money. He should have not ordered the shoes in if he wasn't going to follow through, or pay the deposit. It would be more understandable if he offered to compensate him for the deposit he should really have paid. Or just bought the shoes so he had two pairs. He can afford it!

You dont have to like it and you're free to never go back, but the rules of society dictate in the moment, barring extenuating circumstances, you tip the captain.

No offense, but adding a scoring table only to be terrible at the actual process of ‘Scoring’ is puzzling. Ex: Lady ripping the directions caused LD to waste hours, 1 for the World. LD never getting D. Keaton’s # creates more problems, another World point. Great selection of clips, but if the others are going to be officiated like the 2002 Kings/Lakers 4th qtr Playoffs debacle, then nah. B/c LD himself would mock it mercilessly.

For me, a host is obliged to respect a guest's quirks to a reasonable degree. Wearing your clean shoes in someone else's house is comfortably within the scope of this courtesy. White carpets and/or rugs have no bearing on this rule either, providing you can prove the cleanliness of your footwear to a reasonable degree.
