Took the wife and kids to Playlinda this last weekend. Caught one Pompano and a couple whiting. People next to me caught way more than me. Knowledge is power and profit. Haven’t done any surf fishing on the east coast. My family has been spoiled by the amazing beaches and water in treasure island. I do plan on taking a trip to the east coast soon tho. Wow.. 50 sand fleas for $6? I'm going to cry next time I go into the New Smyrna bait shop! I think it was $4 a dozen last I checked. Maybe time to invest in a sand flea rake.

For you first combo I would get a penn battle. Tough Rugid reels. Not sure how much you want to spend but strikezone has done nice rods that the reel can be paired with.

He has them in coquina, and keeps the small cooler inside a bigger cooler. He has holes in the small one so it can drain
