I met Mr. Holmes and his Wife many moons ago. They were extremely down to earth and I was taken aback by their generosity in the time frame we interacted. It was brought to my attention no sooner than about a minute had passed after they had left the venue I got bombarded by a three or four star struck onlookers exclaiming "Do you know who that was?!?!?!?!" Me, having no idea of his popularity, said nonchalantly "Yea, that was Larry, that dude is a cool cat" I honestly had no idea I was shooting the breeze with the former heavyweight boxing champion of the world for about an hour or so. He and his Wife were genuinely two of the most personable and nicest folks I have ever encountered. Just goes to show fame does not define a person. The actions and the deeds are what defines a person, in my opinion.

Berbick was later convicted of raping his kids’ teenage babysitter. He also had several run ins with police in the US, Canada and Jamaica. Several other fighters who met him didn’t like him. Tyson damn near tried to kill him. The generally happy Renaldo Snipes got into it with him before their fight and once the fight started tried to knock Berbick’s head off. Once he retired to Jamaica there was a family land dispute and he was so greedy he completely shut out his nephew from getting anything. They got into several arguments, until his nephew killed him by repeatedly hitting him in the head with a lead pipe, then turned himself in to police. @@watermarginramsgate180The only Guy Wilder has lost to was Fury 😂. Easily one of the hardest pushers in the history of the heavyweight division. The heavyweight division has always had plummers outside the top 10. You're talking nonsense. Fury beat Klitschko who was undefeated for over a decade. Fury didn't even take boxing seriously until recently. There was nobody of Fury's Size and skill and athleticism in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Fact.

Shalum to you Champ.. thanks for sharing your honest opinion on, what is and what should never be in boxing . my condolences to Trevor.. regardless of your personal thoughts ,Larry at the end of the day, Trevor was a lost souls just like many others.. including, the greatest kings in boxing such as yourself.. Larry you're a good man, like Joe Frazier was, but his episodes with Ali made him a bitter, unforgiven soul and see parallels in you 🤕 let it go Champ though you speak candidly true and there's many reasons for you to be bitter, but as I say, boxing has made and destroyed so many good men and now it's knocking on women folks to .. time is short champ, I come from the Motor City.. we've seen some of the greatest ever. so glad, Tommy Herns and Sugar Ray Lenard are pals now. Aba Yah bless you with peace in the valley 🏆 you're were definitely the king of Jabs ,I think young Devin Haney watched a lots of your fights👑🥊👑🥊👑🥊👑🥊

Larry was one of the greatest boxers of all time. If his right hand wasn't swelling up all the time he would have been unstoppable. Best jab of any heavyweight fighter. Opposing fighters could never get set. I miss watching him fight.

What apiece of work Don King. I’ve never seen anyone in boxing that took advantage of other boxers quite like him.
