The Honorable Elijah Muhammad found me here in America in the muck and mire, in the filthiest civilization on earth. He pulled me out and cleaned me up, and he stood me on my feet and made me the man I am-----MALCOLM X (from the Autobiography of Malcolm X). Mr. Muhammad had raised me from the dead, everything I was he made me. When I was a foul vicious convict, this man had rescued me. He was the man that trained me, he treated me like I was his own flesh and blood. He was the man who had given me my wings to go places, and do things that I otherwise never would have dreamed of-----MALCOLM X (from the Autobiography of Malcolm X) Mr. Muhammad had rescued me when I was a convict, and he trained me in his home as if I was his son. He allowed me to make important decisions for the Nation of Islam. One day he told me Brother Malcolm I want you to become well known. Because if you are well known it will make me better known, and he went on to say Brother Malcolm there is something you need to know. You will grow to be hated when you become well known. Because people usually get jealous of public figures---MALCOLM X (from the Autobiography of Malcolm X)

@@matthewhines6362that’s not true honestly what planet are you living on. Malcom won in the end, he is loved by Muslims world wide, aside from all the places named after him in the states he has a famous street named after him in Turkey. His Muslim name Malik spread a lot more amongst Muslims after him, NOI dissipated after his departure and many black people entered mainstream real Islam because of Malcom’s last exposure and call to it. His biggest regret was all the ppl he exposed the fraud Elijah to, so this matters. Elijahs son Walid (I think that was his name) also became a Sunni Muslim due to Malcom’s inspiration which led to NOI Following to. Elijah is forgotten today his organisation split apart and practically non existent. Malcom’s legacy outshined him in the end both religiously and generally. So glad Malcom saw through this clown fraud and hypocrite in the end. May our brother rest in peace he died a shaheed.

It is strange how he’s portrayed in the education system. Labeled as a violent man. The more I read about him and listen to him in his interviews, I’m learning he was the opposite. He was way ahead of his time & I wish I could’ve met him. The humility he showed to be able to shift his beliefs/perspective & admit his wrongs is what’s impressive to me. Albeit he wasn’t perfect but for him to own what he said is respectable, especially in those times.

I'll try as best I can to answer that question. Who was Elijah Muhammad? That was the question, Well a man born in Sandersville, GA, who lost faith in the White man and Christianity, when as a young boy, he witnessed a white mob kill his friend by taking a shotgun, putting the shotgun in his friends mouth and pulling the trigger. From there he moved North, got married, had children, got lost in the world of despair because in the 30's a black man, with a 3rd grade education, and 8 children, WELL, WINE, Drank, and many nights away from home lost. Until his wife heard and met a man named Farad Muhammad, a silk salesman, who brought his version of Islam to the Lost Found People of North America. Black folk in the Ghetto's more or less. Eventually, Master Farrad and Elijah Poole as he was called at the time met, and Elijah after hearing Master Farrad present his brand of Islam, Elijah said to him after his lecture.."You are the one who was prophesized to come and lead us"..or words to that effect, and upon hearing this Master Farrad whispered in his ear, YES! but don't tell anyone, because my time has not come yet! Or words to the effect. This is how The Honorable Elijah Muhammad became the Messenger of Allah, because as far as HE was concerned at that moment, at that time, Master Farrad was his God, and Elijah decided to spread his message of Islam, thus changing the lives of thousands of black Americans, most noteworthy, Louis Farrakah, Malcolm X, and Muhammad Ali. It was Elijah Muhammad's movement within the Nation of Islam, which open up a pathway to Orthodox Islam for African Americans throughout the world. Although a flawed man, I would strongly recommend you read who Elijah Muhammad was, his times, the lives he changed and what he tried to represent That man is still ❤ just as much as Malcolm. Even Today! Trust me, every brother you run into with the last name Muhammad, you can attributed it to the name of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. That's why he deserves the title.

@@user-cm3yl7er5b was not Moses punished by God for striking the Rock Twice?.. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad's exposure by his most trusted servant was God's punishment indeed. It's sad how folks rank their version of sin and punishment, does what you say apply to the Catholic church Baptist, Pentecostal, Islamic, Hindu, Jewish, etc..?? The NOI under the Honorable Elijah Muhammad did so much good for so many people, the game is the game..U KNOW THAT!!..and religion is the biggest MONEY game out there, the NOI was the only black religious organization in the 50's and 60's that gave back to their members also. Imagine a sista, once called a HO, now walking around with the Dignity and respect of transformation overnight after joining or a brother lost on Drugs... Also, health care, education, better eating and diet, and men standing post with their families. A flawed man yes, but this man came up with an idea to build his own world, here, in America, and he did it too. So of course it's very understandable to see why folks would believe and accept that this little man with only a third grade education, to have built the NOI on sheer will and a dream for his people, you got to give that man his place, faults and all, God has always chosen his Pathfinders from the most humble. 😉

All religions steam from a source but condemning one to say the other is greater, sir that is beyond me, the foundation of what Malcolm X represented where from a Christian background and his Muslim studies opened his mind. The word says all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Islam is the religion of god. Islam tells us how to live a sublime life on this earth. There’s a rule for everything and it’s meant for the good.

Yes, Malcolm X did actually visit Mecca in 1964. He made the pilgrimage to Mecca as a Muslim, and his experience there had a profound impact on his worldview and ideas about racial and religious relations. It was during this pilgrimage that he met many people from different backgrounds and ethnicities, and he came to recognize the importance of cross-cultural understanding and empathy. This experience helped to shape his later views on the importance and potential of interracial and interfaith solidarity. Nairaland Identity Fraud.

@@kaucionpier8291 you must haven’t seen his wife BEFORE SHE DIED with the NOI(Farrakhan) where she learned THE TRUTH OF WHAT HAPPENED WITH X & how she was WITH THE NOI before she died because the CIA/police/feds lied & tricked her & tried to have some of her family locked up & falsely had her thinking NOI killed Malcolm! Not only that you must DON’T know that before Malcolm died he wanted & tried to get back in the NOI when he realized certain things! Betty Shabazz sat WITH the NOI & MGT(sisters of NOI)other guests & she spoke as well as Farrakhan & she knew she was lied to before that meeting was over before she was provided proof prior & that is why she was CAME & WAS A PART of IT! She had not had any relations with NOI until THE TRUTH WAS REVEALED & she herself said she was GLAD THAT FARRAKHAN STILL called & CONSIDERED MALCOLM HIS BROTHER! Betty Shabazz WOULD NOT HAVE HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH NOI/FOI/MGT/FARRAKHAN nor HIS WIFE had she NOT FOUND OUT THE TRUE TRUTH! People be spewing lies when they got the LIVE TAPING of her WITH THE NATION OF ISLAM! I used to listen & REGURGITATE THINGS TOO & then I was LEARNT! When Malcolm made this tape of course it was long ago but a lot of things happened in THE SHORT TIME IN BETWEEN THIS TAPE with him BEFORE & AFTER HE WAS KILLED & THIS EVERYBODY DON’T know! Betty Shabazz KNEW before she died THOUGH! People said ALOT BAD ABOUT MALCOLM TOO but EVERYTHING IS NOT TO BE BELIEVED! Betty ADDRESSED THAT TOO for the world to hear TALKING ABOUT HER HUSBAND! It was a beautiful thing! Bottom line Malcolm is FOREVER LOVED & NEVER FORGOTTEN & people don’t even KNOW THE LOVE THAT THE NOI HAS FOR MALCOLM & THE LOVE MALCOLM HAD FOR THE NOI & ALL THAT BUILT HIM TO BE THE MAN HE WAS! Once I had graduated high school, I was confused and lost in this world. A couple years of college and I find myself still lost and confused in this crazy divided world. Teachings from souls such as malcom x and or Muhammad Ali use to satisfy me, making me more confident as a young black man. As a grew older and more mature, I realized these souls that once walked and talked the earth were nothing but human and had many mistakes. There is no benefit in being to radical or pro one particular race. All I’m saying is it’s just time to forget about race and pride and work together as more so global citizens in a global transition of things. Flags never last forever, and that’s just the reality. Don’t commit treason or anything stupid like that but realize, especially in today’s word, that it’s way important to care about the globe and or the earth, rather than just a flag.
