I was Larry’s Overnight Producer at Mutual for a number of years in the 80’s and we remembered close friends for life- THank you for posting this- ON my page is a special TRIBUTE I did after being interviewed all over the place for my thoughts- Larry loved Gleason probably more than anyone on the planet. Without Gleason Larry would have never had the career he did- Thanks again Neil

Neil was a guest on Larry's show on March 31, 1977. We would LOVE to recover that audio. If you have any leads, please let us know.

Nice. I have all of his Mutual Broadcasting System shows but not this one. Very rare. Thank You

You have all 16 years of his shows? Including Open Phone America?

@@ke0nc I believe so. Haven't transferred them to digital yet

@@TELEVISIONARCHIVES That would be fantastic to have them archived. Years ago, Larry was working with a company to archive his shows, but it never happened that I know of.

Oh God how I’d like to hear some of those radio shows, especially Open Phone America! I’d be up in bed trying to sleep while listening to Larry from my junior year in high school until around 1985.

People can make fun of Larry all they want, but he knew/knows how to get people to talk. He's not a journalist so he doesn't need to grill people - just get them to babble. People love to talk about themselves- unless their a boring SOB.

Because i can relate. Its something i would do in 1975. If i wasn't five at the time. Im imagining, but i think you would agree, they tossed back a few and smoked during this interview.

Jackie sat on Larry face. Told him to smell his town house. Larry turned the tables and invited Jackie for some “ action”

Apparently Jackie gave Larry a “dirty sanchez” shortly before air time. Larry then “tossed” Jackie’s salad. Sources say “snow balling” may have taken place.

Jackie’s sack smelled like day old lobster. Larry went there.
