God I love these shows, but at the same time they kinda make me sad. Not because they aren't great, because they are, but because these stories are becoming a thing of the past. We aren't going to hear stories like this from the old school guys much longer because of this current car, and that's what is sad. Great interview as always, Kenny.

Larry, Mike and darrell are the greatest booth duo of our generation and they don't get the credit they deserve and Fox if nothing else owes it to him to let him continue as long as he wants for all he's done for them and has stayed loyal to them for 24 years! Let's hope they do the right thing

Larry’s first year in TV, he was (understandably) really stiff and a bit awkward. However when he became comfortable, he was and is my favorite TV announcer and I wish he was more involved. Other than Ken Squire, I’ve enjoyed and more importantly, I believe what he says and I always seem to learn something. Thanks Larry !

I learned a lot…only don’t quiz me now because I probably wouldn’t remember lol Seriously though, Larry has a great personality and I thoroughly enjoy hearing his stories of literally the good old days. Two greats. Mike and Mac. You have to realize that cable/satellite TV has not been kind to fans. When NASCAR isn’t on on the “over the air antenna tv” we never see you. Therefore the majority of the races is after online or XM radio. Sad. And dieing. Hope the new TV deal in 2025 does better and all the greats are with us. Keep it real. Larry knows there is trouble ahead.

Larry Mac story about the movie theater on the racetrack brought back memories. Back in the late 70’s my dad raced at Portland speedway in Oregon. After the race was over and the fans were gone they would keep the beer garden open for the drivers and the crews, that’s were dad was and I would run over the place. One night on came the porn movie on the big screen, being around 10yrs old I sat in the stands and was watching it. I look off to my right and here comes dad and a racing buddy, they just started laughing and my dad told his friend, “ I guess I won’t have to have a talk with him about the birds and the bees. He’s now 78yrs old and we still chuckle about that!

57:12 another way Nascar can govern the teams is random weekly audits of them (as well as a resource spec) Harvick hit on this on the dale Jr download. Teams are trying to find 1 hp instead of trying to find 15-20 hp. That means they're going to spend more on more expensive tech to find it. Nascar finds something crooked going on at a teams shop, that team gets heavily penalized. Just my two cents.

"it ain't right", Dale you have the best two cars ever produced. Come into pit road. Take it out there for a few more laps. Three laps later (taladega) he comes into pit. "it ain't right". A driver says... Bring it into pit and take the valve covers off. There it may be-a broken rocker arm and a bent push rod. Repair and replace.
