Stone Cold and The Rock coming into the company at the same time that was the golden era of wrestling
@lastlaff27775 жыл бұрын
You're totally off your rocker. The "golden age" was mid 80's to early 90's. Andre, Piper, Hogan, Macho Man, etc...
@pencileater15 жыл бұрын
@@lastlaff2777 I think it's debatable - when the Monday night wars were on, the Outsiders and the NWO and it was really WWF vs WCW that was a pretty amazing time in wrestling - I guess maybe the "golden age" was earlier but the boom in the 90s was quite incredible and can't be denied.
@NEO_RedPill_20245 жыл бұрын
I dunno, I think the golden era was with Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior. That late 80’s to the early 90’s era. So many characters! Just my opinion.

Triple H, Stone Cold and the Rock took it to a level way beyond that of the 1980's. But i concede the 1980's had the better Characters, the late 1990's it went global.

Stone Cold obviously doesn't realize it but he was the first anti-hero. He and The Rock made it cool to be unpredictable. They were cheered not because they were good guys but because they represented themselves and their uniqueness with confidence.

As much as I love the Rowdy one, he wasn't stone cold, stone cold was given the ball, the company was scared to give rowdy the ball

grant blair Austin's heel run leading up to his turn with Brett was my favorite part of his career. I thought he was awesome. Maybe even my favorite heel. Well, except for Flair. He's probably my favorite but they were so different there really is no comparison.

As a kid you kinda just think these wrestlers would be around forever, we don’t seem to think of them ageing out of the business but, as much as I loved the Attitude Era, with hindsight now, I’d love to go back to those innocent childhood days and really appreciate the drama and spectacle that these giants created! Every generation has their favourites but, in my opinion, Stone Cold and The Rock and wrestlers of the Attitude Era were the pinnacle of Professional wrestling!

Never thought you could get ‘middle class’ and ‘Steve Austin’ in the same sentence. Nice he admits he wasn’t the best looking or most talented wrestler - though I think he underrates his technical ability.
