I never truly appreciated Tom Jones when I was younger. I saw him as a rep of establishment music. Hearing him today, I can appreciate the powerhouse of his talent - great vocal drive and what a dancer!! His voice indeed lacks the wear and tear of a half-century long career. In his song delivery, he's able to circumvent the typical vocal pitfalls that identify the singer's age. Soul is ageless. Evidence is this man. Keep it up Tom Jones!

Someone in the comment section said that Sir Tom Jones isn't in the "Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame." Is that true? If that's true, it's time for his fans to contact the Cleveland, Ohio-based "Hall Of Fame," and request that his name be added. I don't know how they choose the names, but Sir Tom Jones' name ought to be there. He has an incredibly soulful voice, is extremely handsome, and he's obviously very well spoken. Much thanks to Mr. Larry King for this wonderful interview!

You're right there quick to criticize. They should check their closet before they talk about anybody because you know nobody's perfect in this world and I'm sure they have a lot of dirty laundry hiding around there. But people that talk about others it's because they're trying to get the heat off of themselves. My mom always told me when people talk about you or anybody else because they're trying to take the heat off of themselves because they're not perfect and they have a lot of it skeletons in their closet. And to ignore also their stupidity and ignorance what can I say they act like they're mr. And mrs. Perfect. And they probably have a worse private life than anybody else. So sad. Have a blessed night

Tom Jones deserves so much respect, he one of the few white artist who had power and put black singing stars on his shows, you had white entertainers but they would never step on the stage with black acts because lets face it those black acts destroyed Pop singers. Tom Jones is a soul singer a real beast so he could get on stages with Soloman Burke, Wilson Pickett and yea they would give him an ass whipping at times there was no doubt that he could hang with them and shine just as great..You could tell he was a fan of the music and soul music was him, so we should respect that Welshman for helping to open up doors for great black artist to shine

What an artiste! a kind and caring man - I hope he never stops performing - I also enjoyed watching his mentoring on the voice; ..I get a sense that he is generous to fellow performers and a dream to work with. I have always wanted to see 2 singers take on acting roles - Tom and and Shirley Bassey. Both sing dramatic songs (or ballads?) from the heart... They can make audiences laugh or cry ; surely that obvious dramatic ability would translate well to film, t.v. or threatre?

Nan's (born in '37) parents refused to evacuate her and her siblings during WW2 out of London. Keep in mind her mother WW1 lived in London close to black soldiers and listened to a lot of black musicians during and after WW1. For 4 years of Nan's childhood she had black soldiers in her neighbourhood. Post-WW2 the black soldiers had started a interest in black music. It's a different culture, there weren't white radio stations and black radio stations. In her teens black American artists playing in London and Liverpool and Manchester pubs and influencing people like my Nan and the Beatles and Elton John and the Rolling Stones and the Animals, etc... American's seem to be unaware or maybe underestimate, just how many fans black American artists have in Britain. The artists are the first to tell you who their influences are. The Beatles phenomena was the strangest hit given they were so heavily influenced by what they saw coming out of the US. Nan's said she didn't see that coming, but it was like bringing American music to America and the American's going nuts over it. Or I suppose a British interpretation of American music. 20th Century British food has been most heavily influenced by Indian's and Jamaican's and British music has been most heavily influenced by black American's. Adele credits her influences with Mary J. Blige, Lauryn Hill and Alicia Keys - she calls The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and Songs in A Minor “life-defining.” The other big influence was Etta James, whose music she discovered in the bargain bin of a record store. When I was a baby and my parents couldn't get me to calm down, Dad blasted Nina Simone's My Baby Just Cares For Me. Worked like a charm. I don't think England will ever be fans of black American food or comedy but we're probably the biggest fans on the planet when it comes to music. Love it!

@@lorebay2593 thank you. I think Tom Jones is so good looking in his older age. I'm so proud to know that he still with the same y over 50 years now that's a man. A lot of men stray away from their families and I'm so proud to know that sir Tom is faithful to his wife and still there with wife.. was a married couple with Children what hurts me more is the children suffer because a child always needs the mother and father just as important the mother is Father also is important but it's no use having a father that doesn't want to deal with his children or play with him or have fun and you got to spend all the time you can when you do have children can later on in life children aren't going to have the feeling that they should have for you in the love. I know because I was a single mother of four lepers husband passed away when my first two kids were born at age 2 and 3 they had just turned two and three father went to sleep and never woke up yeah no drugs no nothing in his body was going to babysit the next day because me and my mother was going to go to Hollywood to go see of clay and we got there to drop the kids off and the ambulance fire department please everybody was there and it did it hurt my children very much at that age they know they know what's going on people think that they don't remember they do they just don't say much about it they usually play it out my identical twins father I had to throw him out because he was paying for prostitutes and I couldn't have that no matter how much I loved him I love my children more and how was I going to have a man that was paying for prostitutes come home and bring a disease to my children so I had to get rid of them. For 21 years he did not acknowledge them he didn't try to send a postcard he never told his parents to say hello for him he just avoided them like they weren't they weren't even around like they never exist. but I gave them all the love I could and and some I try to take the place of the father and give them extra love but it'll never take a place of a father. so I did the best I could as a mother and father grandfather and grandmother because after my dad died it was all me and I had to play all the roles and try to make it happy for them as much as I could. I really appreciate it thank you for the conversation that we had in her you texting me back I really appreciate it it feels good to know that people acknowledge when you write something. But Tom Jones I can't get over that all the time I was looking at that singing thing I didn't know that was Tom Jones He is remarkable very proud of him but like you said you got to be you and only you and do your thing not copy someone he's an excellent man. God bless you and may your angels watch over you and your family with this epidemic that's going around I pray that God always has his hands on you and your angels are always around you and your family taking care of you have a blessed night.

He gave an interview on a US talk show explaining why he was hesitant to get involved initially. He didn't want to cause problems with their family. He has a relationship with her now. I give Rod respect for that. Tom Jones had an affair while married (many), he was thirty and had a fling for a few days, she gets pregnant and he has been quoted as saying something to the affect of it wasn't planned, if it was planned it would have been different, she seduced me. This coming from the guy who supposedly professed to sleeping with at least 250 women per year during the height of his fame. Like he didn't know enough to use protection. Nice to know you are a Welsh Jones. At 16 I used to watch him on our SOS. Took him for a bi- racial.

Hello amazing fan. It has come to my notice that some of my fans thinks I was the person who died. Late jones was The one who conceived the twist on Romeo and Juliet with composer John Donald Robb. He died 11th August, of cancer in his home in Sharon. I’m still alive and much healthy. Thanks dear fan.I want to specifically appreciate you for being a big fan ❤️. Thank you for your nice comments on my post, it means a lot to me...

I've always been TJ' s biggest fan - but ignoring his emotionally tortured son, is cruel. Children need to know both parents to get a sense of who they are, and to feel loved. It wasn't his sons fault that he was born from a 3 day trist. Tom made him. He should meet him and do something for him.

Who died and left you the arbiter of someone else’s life. You don’t know the whole story yet you presume to sit in judgment on this man? Y’all need to check yourselves with this sanctimonious BS.

Thank you Sir Tom Jones I've always I loved your music. (Except for Delilah) (that one is too sad for me) ...I started singing the song 'Kiss' (original by Prince) after hearing your version and audition with it for 'Showtime at the Apollo'). but did not get permission to actually perform it on the show.
