I really like Megaman. Many think he's too defensive and annoying but I always perceived him as this actually highly skill dependend character with the crazy set ups and combos and it's just amazing to look at.

Megamans down air is clankable by any move dealing 4% or more, this also extends the active frames of the anti air which often forces megaman to land in the attack if he was trying to get the +1 on shield, as he must land on the same frame that the projectile comes out for it to be that safe. missing that window by more than a few frames makes the move drop to around -14 or worse the higher up you are when it comes out. Additionally, its tied with snake fair at 23 frame startup for being the slowest aerial in the game, and can be anti aired on reaction. tl:dr, if you anti air the dair he loses the interaction because the move is actually very slow and not that strong.

I play Mega Man at a PGR level. To play Mega Man takes so much dedication and hyper focus. (Not to mention the amount of hours spent on perfecting his frame data and tech) The character is super good BUT the only problem is you have to be 100% perfect at high level play, otherwise you will get bodied by PGR players. I've had so many people complain that I do D-AIR way too much but like LarryLurr said , it's the safest option. Mega man has so much end lag in his kit and it feels as though every character's move set priorities over mega man's.

tight input but its a leaf shield cancel. you run up and at the beggining of your run animation you smash throw up and it will cancel. great mix up tool

Larry said "probably play" not "should be able to". Also Riddles, Ferps, Vendetta and Jahzz0 all play all 4 fighting game characters at a high level, so his statement is not inaccurate. Larry is also speaking about high to top level play, not elite smash one tricks who won't ever see as much as a local. At high to top level, the players who are finding the most success maining one fighting game character, know how to play the other 3 at close to the same level, so it is an easy assumption to make, and even then, Larry only said "Probably".
