This woman is not lying. She was honest about church hurt, poor choices & loving her family. Praying.
@gladysfinch60544 жыл бұрын
She not telling the whole truth either. She heard so much, for not being in contact with the sisters. Listen to her being a so call pastor, she's butt hurt for the choices she made..She's jealous of the 3 younger sisters. She's not owning up to her mess. She's all over the place, trying to play the victim. This is not love for your sisters darling, this is pure jealousy and a grudges you are holding on to over 30 years... Your husband got into your head...She act like Twinkle is half dead...She said Twinkle never had a job, so why she and her husband so worried about Twinkle money. Why would her father asked her to look after Twinkle, since she's not a Clark sister , as she and this man keep mentioning. It not like she was that concern about Twinkle in her younger years. Denise wants that Clark sisters money.
@QueenLwiththecrown4 жыл бұрын
@@gladysfinch6054 What are you talking about? Nevermind, clearly you don't know. When she spoke about Twinkie not having a job she wasn't saying in the sense of money. She was saying she hasn't been around enough of the world to know when she's been played. She was boxed in, isolated majority of her life. FYI they are both Clark sisters, she's the oldest (Denise) and Twinkie is the second oldest. Jackie who is the oldest sister of them all is not a Clark she's from their mother's first marriage. Also, she did own up to her mess, she admitted she was having kids out of wedlock and she said one was by a bishop. She's exposing the truth and why she decided not to be a part of the group. It took her 40 years to speak out and now her you go judging as if you know what's going on. Besides, you couldn't get her part of the story correct.

Ok, why is everyone acting like the movie didn't portray what Dr. Denise is saying? The sisters didn't lie. They showed themselves being judgemental. They showed the sisters being mean to her. They showed that Jacky had a different father. They showed that they didn't kick her out. They mentioned that Dr. Denise was a preacher, and a loving mother. They showed that Twinkie had an unhealthily dependent relationship within the family. They showed that Dr. Denise stood up to their mother. They showed that Twinkie and Dr. Denise were close. So...why are we acting like Dr. Denise was portrayed incorrectly or that there wasn't truth? The movie was accurate if what Dr. Denise said is true.

I mean they can’t have a regular healthy family gathering without someone bringing up stuff from 50 years ago. There is no level of conflict resolution, the root of hiding secrets and the lack of mental health/ counseling is real. Ladies, Denise "allegedly" had her older boys out of wedlock, which was a no-no for Dr. Mattie Moss Clark and the COGIC, so with the embarrassment, she was eventually left behind and out of the group. Her "so-called" wild lifestyle was not running parallel to the COGIC church's teachings and ways and she was pretty much turned loose, although I do believe her sisters and mom shunned her away to advance their gospel careers. I also do believe, despite what Denise is saying, their mother and the COGIC played a big role and influence in her being dismissed from the group and her leaving the COGIC because remember, their mom used to perform with them very early on in their music career and had already started receiving backlash from the COGIC church for performing on secular platforms (GRAMMY awards, etc).

I’ve seen the movie and heard all of the interviews, and I don’t know, but something is still missing from this story. There’s something we’re not hearing and something that none of them (including Denise) aren’t saying. For them to not be speaking regularly for almost 30 years is not normal and cannot be boiled down to just Denise leaving the group. Something else must have happened, and nobody is willing to bring that up or bring it out. The story and the outcome just don’t add up.

@@MissEasyPeasySleasy Yeah, something ain't adding up. It takes me back to Unsung when they were talking about Elbert being abusive, Dorinda and Twinkie were nowhere to be seen during that part. It was just Karen and Jacky, and Karen said something about Mattie saying she will never marry again because she don't want any man doing something to her girls. I tried to find it on here to watch again but it's been deleted. They could have been talking about him hitting Jacky but I'm leaning towards sexual abuse.

I'm only speaking from what I've observed on social media and the movie. When Mattie Moss Clark told Twinkie, she has the face and body of a woman but she's a child, she's a baby. That spoke volume to the validity of Twinkie's state of mind. The mother made this statement when Twinkie was in her 20's. I don't want to elaborate but it seems to me...a mother knows her child better than anyone and she saw the mental state of her daughter. I feel the family (especially the nephews) is taking advantage of Twinkie's state of mind. I feel so sorry for this family. Their talent is truly a gift. But greed is a tool of Satan!

We all need to forgive one another and come together I come from a family of 11 children. Our parents were Christian's ( both deceased) My father the late Bishop EQAdams and my mother made us go to church. We had our ups and downs and we even separated. But God used me, I am the youngest sister out of 3 girls, I reached out to my siblings I put together family reunions, I did all kinds of family gatherings, but it took God to help us. We are ministers of the Gospel. Pastors, bishops, evangelist, ministers, but we still had our issues. We fell out with one another! Stop speaking! But God used me, the youngest sister to restore the family! We had to forgive one another! That is the key thing Forgive and come together! Before God took our dad, he was hurt because he saw how the family had separated! Dad spoke to me in a dream and said tell my children until they come together and forgive we might as well all sit down and stop preaching! I shared the dream with my siblings ! It hurt me having to tell them but I did. It took some time but now we are very close! It took God to take some of our siblings and our parents for us to finally come together but we did. All praises to God! My heart goes out for the Clark Sisters! I pray they will forgive one another and come together in love very soon!

I admire Denise's tenacity in keeping her promise to her father to protect Twinkie. I believe everything she said. Lisa Tomlinson I have a feeling that their was tension because Elder Clark had the idea to let his children sing. Then, once they spent less and less time with him, COGIC agenda ruled that house. They started recording very early. Sister Denise probably told her father how her and her sisters suffered from COGIC upbringing, and an old documentary they were on reveal how he thought it was unfair for Twinkie to rehearse music and write so dernnnn much. Elder Clark seem like he didn’t play, and he looks like one of my family's kinfolks. Honestly, I believe Detroit was rough for the Clark Sisters, and their mom overcame dangers seen and unseen to put her children on the map.

@marquesbell41785 жыл бұрын
Correct. But she decided to leave because of verbal abuse from the sisters minus Twinkie combined with the COGIC organization telling her to abort her children born from sin.And when she was asked to come back like she said, that genuine family love was not there. Now rewind to Momma getting ready to die and there is trickery going on with the estate and the incident that happened in court with three sisters vs two, and Jackie is trying to maneuver her mother's answers before a judge during an "Are you competent" quiz. What was that poor woman rejoining the group for? Like Denise said , "I Don't Do Deception".

The only bad thing about this interview is that Larry kept Interrupting Denise while she is speaking. Then at the end of the video he answered his phone while live doing an interview. Song catalog is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and millions. . Dont be fooled when someone tries to take over an Estate as making the person crazy that's money talking. The moms Estate with over 400 songs in publishing that is crazy money. The money belongs to the writer and the publisher mostly. The artist who sings also makes royalty. The money is the root. Twinkle's Estate and moms Estate is where the big money is. Ownership of that publishing and catalog is crucial that it be split equally among the children that's the way the mom believed it was set up not that she was crazy! Twinkle's Estate is worth a lot of money!! God will discern the truth!
