Catching GIANT Spawning Bluegills

Catching giant spawning bluegills is a blast and we got the tips for you! On this week's episode, we head down to Madison, Wisconsin to fish with the one and only Big B's Guide Service! Brian is a bluegill master and has a spot all picked out for us! Locating the beds using side imaging and good polarized glasses we put the smackdown on the gills! Remembering good catch and release ethics is EXTREMELY important for spawning bluegills to protect the population and future genetics for years to come!

Great video Larry! I grew up taking both of my younger brothers bluegill fishing at a friend's pier. We would fish 3 - 4 times per week in open water. The education we gave ourselves during those years created the foundation for all the fishing that us brothers and our family's next generation still do to this day. Great video Larry! Brings back tons of memories 👍

I've been fishing the Madison chain for almost 20 years now. Nice gills in the lake for sure but plenty of eaters as well. I throw everything back over 9 inches and under 7. my favorite way to catch them out there is drifting over the deep water. That bite begins in about another month and lasts about a month, usually.

Yea larry your guy your fishin with is right, im catchin big gills right now and like he said they will continue until middle of july in shallow water and then move to about 15 ft after and still keep biting..east central lake in fondy county.
