Viera is a female-only race. It will be weird to make a male version of them. In my opinion, the more logical would be adding a counter part of a male-only race to balance things. My first male character I ever play for long and I already stick to him has been in this game. I don't care the gender as long and it is well done and it is loyal to their games.

Not sure if you've been keeping up to date, but Yoshi-P said we'll find out about male Viera at the JPN Fanfest at the end of March! (Probably something at the question panel tonight.) Which is promising! All the female Viera used the same face, so it's likely the males just weren't ready to be seen yet! Who knows, the final job could be tied to the Viera as well, so they'll probably show them both off! :3c

"Taro also said that NieR: Automata protagonist 2B’s design wasn’t meant to be very sexy at first, however when he received the original designs he told the 3D modelers to make her butt as perfect as they possibly could, otherwise they’d be fired. So naturally they went above and beyond making a wonderful buttocks."
