I had such a hard time getting a feel for Gunbreaker until I realized that I simply don't have enough hotkeys for the continuation combo. So I moved it to a hotbar with no keys and I click through it. Fun factor increased by 200% and now I don't feel like I need more fingers!

@@youfailed3089 Yeah, that's what Blue Mage does here too... the big issue is that their level cap is lower than everyone else (20 whole levels lower!) and they can't sign up for the dungeon matchmaking service. Part of the reason they work like this is due to that main gimmick you mentioned, and how it doesn't mesh with the way other classes work. All level 50 Monks/Samurai/Scholar/etc. have the same spells and abilities each level, so it all comes down to player skill. BLU doesn't, as they don't get anything from their levels, you have to get all their abilities from enemies. So a level 10 Blue Mage can have 40 spells, and a level 60 one can have 10. It fundamentally breaks the games balancing... which takes us to why Blue Mage isn't talked about at all. Their skill sets don't synergize with each other and therefore your "rotation" is very basic, doesn't have any meters or stacks to keep up with, it's just buff up, shoot your shot, and don't get hit. Combine that with a fairly low damage ceiling and it's just a lot of work for not much payoff.

Maybe just my take, but monk doesn’t really have two separate combos; you can use either of the two abilities available at that particular form (ignoring the AoE skills). You determine which to pick based on consuming/building the Leaden Fist buff, Twin Snakes damage buff uptime, and Demolish DoT; the last two are on different timers so there’s not a set combo order.

Meanwhile, blue mage: Amazing when equipped with the full array of skills - able to be a medic, tank, or DPS.... but you can't use it for anything helpful unless you start a cult of blue mages or a pyramid scheme to draw in noobs.

Nice video and a good summary of each individual job. Two things to correct though. 1: The Paladins heavy hitting attack than you can use 3 times in a row is Atonement, not Royal Authority. Royal Authority is the regular combo finisher that allows you to use Atonement three times. 2: While the Red Mage has close range Melee attacks, they still actually deal Magical damage, not Physical.

That’s unfortunately why I dropped it for monk not only because I’m kinda learning martial arts so I always pick the martial artist class in an mmo now but also because as someone who play on pc for only 4y now I’m still not that good with mouse and keyboard and ninja requires you to be a god at doing pretty much anything bc of the ninjutsu system that is rewarding af but means you need to be really smart and really skilled at the same time to use it well and I’m neither 😭 I died too much because I had trouble dodging while trying to do the mantras which further increased my anxiety in dungeons and especially when I got level 52 and got to the first raid 😩 monk is only about position so it’s training me to move more effectively before I return to ninja one day hopefully
