Not to sound shady but, I don't know if you know that before undergoing such surgical procedures, you need to have a psychiatric clearance before they proceed. Plus, she might have undergone serious planning, as this is not only her life for the next 30 or 40 years but also a big financial decision. So it is safe to assume that she did.
