Did you see the AC/DC interview on 60 minutes a few months back? Even my wife who doesn't really follow AC/DC (or hard rock/metal full stop) absolutely loved the band members and watched the whole interview with a smile on her face and said to me what lovely guys they are. I said yeah, they are very down to earth. Hope AC/DC and Metallica tour Australia again!

But the reason for the flags is you can not go forward into the future unless you know where you came from in your past - they see the places they have been over the last 40 years whenever they are creating NEW songs for the future in that room. That, I think, is the point of the flags in there...

I had the honor of meeting and getting an autograph from Brian Johnson and Angus a bunch of years ago after a show, and they were 2 of the nicest ,down to earth people ya ever met. It was cold as shit out, and a little , dude. Future rocker about 7-8 years old came up to get his shirt sighed as was so happy to meet him that the little man said i wanna be just like you when i grow up and rock!!!. The little guy gave him the horns sign. The father was telling him that the little boy always played the back in black album all the time and made a cap like brian wheres. Brian and angus were touched by that and as the boy and his dad were leaving. Brian called the little boy back. Picked him up and took a pick with him and angus and brian took off his cap and gave it to the boy. Hes was so happy

Of all the rockstars I've known or even met, Brian displays an amazing inner strength to match his raw talent. Many of the best, will just slide away to their own deaths over hurt feelings, but Brian is a living inspiration. Shout out to Lars too, but Brian's track record for walking through shitstorms and singing his ass off hits me where I truly live.

The two times Brian was on Top Gear UK were two of my favorite episodes. He's a down to earth, funny, and charming guy. The kind of guy you'd chat up at the bar with for hours. A guy who could become your best friend so easily because he's just that nice and caring of a man. Be more like Brian.

I remember doing the original construction on that tenant improvement in their HQ in Marin County. The plans were non descript, started the project and quickly realized it was for Metallica, holy crap. I remember the diamond plate and graffiti on the walls stood out. Didnt get to meet them but was still a cool experience.

Brian, in the mid 1980s I owned a rehearsal studio in San Carlos CA and had the pleasure of renting out a Sunday morning slot to Metallica just before they became famous. I should've hung around and watched them rehearse if I would've known what was to come!

Like yeah, you have Metallica here and there, but there are so many movies with back and black, and just AC/DC in general, its hard to talk about them all. But I also love metallica. Creeping Death is one of my favourite songs, especially live. Both Metallica and AC/DC are great bands, but they shouldnt be compared. They arent the same kind of music. And hell, I could say the same about metallica being popular in the 90's. The last BIG BIG hit metallica had was Enter Sandman back in 91. The last BIG BIG hit AC/DC had was also in 91, Thunderstruck. Your arguements dont work.

Its called falsetto. His was very strong when he first joined the band. Everyone has a falsetto voice range. Most dont know how to use it.

@Chris Waters He's not belting or screaming at all. It's vocal fry while using head voice and falsetto. It actually started out by trying to mimic Bon Scott's sound and has come into his own sound. I suspect it was partly to mask the pitchy nature of trying to match Scott.

I'm met the boys from Down Under when they were recording in Vancouver at Little Mountain Sound for their big comeback album Razor's Edge. It was all very interesting to watch them work and be so focused on doing good work and treating the staff there like people, not paid servants. Chris Slade was a lot of fun to talk to as I was a great fan of jazz and reminisce about his time in other bands and some of the tours they did with other Canadian bands.

@@NandR Yeah, but those pins weren’t marking Antarctica, they were just for holding up the map. You can see the same pins throughout the entire outer rim of the map.
