There wouldn't have been a suit filed if the plaintiff and legal counsel wasn't confident in their case. I've heard talk that there was "no harm". Actually the difference in taxes alone between California and Vegas is quite a bit. This is a big deal. The coach already has been found at fault. The team was penalized with a draft pick. Finally it appears allegedly there were EEOC violations. Again, if this does go to trial, the standard is much different than a criminal trial. It's lower than "beyond a reasonable doubt". With civil, it's "a preponderance of the evidence". That's why if the plaintiff and her legal team starts filing pre motions regarding evidence and witnesses depending upon how far the process may get, it could allegedly get bad for the defendants. Hammon very well could lose her job or worse. The Team could face more penalties. Other players could face penalties depending upon a trial vs a settlement. Either way, the sunlight that Caitlin Clark has brought to the league has been the best thing for the plaintiff and the worst for the defendants...allegedly of course. Just think of all the video clips of the CC hits alone with no calls. Yikes!

A lawyer will take on any lawsuit for enough money. They might (or might not) advise against it if the case is weak, but will probably do it if the client wants it badly enough. Or they will go to another lawyer until they find one who will. The problem that I see for that scenario ín Dearica's case is I don't think she has the financial wherewithal to press a suit if she has to find (and pay) for a lawyer if her case was indeed a poor one. I also think that the eeoc (not sure I got that correct) will advise and help in a "good" case. So no, I doubt that she's got a poor case. And it's stupid for Hammon to make a public statement about a pending lawsuit. Who is advising that idiot? Let me get to my point: The Fever in the last two games, especially the last game against Seattle, played the game with a huge amount of competitive fun... i.e., they WERE having competitive FUN on the court, enjoying each other's scoring plays, laughing together as a team, celebrating each other's scores / passes... the fun they were having was what really pissed-off Seattle.... and the Fever's been growing in this level of team / family / excellent execution FUN with each game played. With that in mind, my point: the WNBA is filled with women who bring negative, ugly, drama (I've known men that've done this, too) into every interaction they have both publicly and privately... drama becomes created where none actually exists... your comments in this video are entirely accurate and frankly I'm feed-up with the drama these "elderly coaches / women" bring into this sport... professional women's basketball (WNBA) is at a total turning point -- the college women basketball player's feeding the league are at another level and there's a seachange coming of talent and attention to this league and those oldster's in the league are not ready for it. What no one is saying nor has said YET is why Hammon was suspended. The fact that they were paying the tuition was likely a fine because they were overpaying above the salary cap. IS THAT NOT POSSIBLY the reason why the Hammon was suspended and the team lost a pick and maybe was fined?? So then that doesn't say that the WNBA found the team at fault for their treatment of the player. It's likely that Hamby's complaining about the situation got the team in trouble because they were paying for her child's school which went against the WNBA policy because they exceeded the cap. That's enough to get a team fined, losing a pick, and someone suspended. That would cause a team to turn against a player. I have said it before, as a businesswoman, I personally would have had an issue with her getting pregnant. I would have seen her as a risk. I have employed and worked with pregnant women and it was honestly far more of a strain on my company than having female workers who were without children and males. That is MY experience. While she didn't miss a game, there was no guarantee of that and added to the responsibilities that come with motherhood, that would make her more likely to have excuses about why she couldn't perform. This is no different than a male showing up to play out of shape and can't perform. If this were Caitlyn Clark showing up like this, the league would be in an uproar because her absence and inability to play would be very hard on the league. I personally say that she signed a contract knowing that she was pregnant. If I were her boss, I would not have been happy about it either.

True! Also, she was traded to Los Angeles!

“The league had an opportunity to send a clear message that it abides by and protects the provisions of the CBA, particularly those that we were most proud of - the provisions meant to support player parents,” the union said in a statement. “Today’s decision regarding penalties, however, misses the mark. Where in this decision does this team or any other team across the league learn the lesson that respect in the workplace is the highest standard and a player’s dignity cannot be manipulated?” Players association statement following the suspension of Hammon in May of 2023

She didn't file with the players union....Probably because Plum is the team rep for the union and she sided with Hammon...so probably why she wasn't told. Aces are dodgy AF and have been for a loooonnnngggggg time.

The fact that the Aces haven't just thrown THE BIGGEST bag of cash at Hamby to make her shut up and go away means that they are either vastly overconfident of their and the WNBA's ability to get out of a federal law discrimination case or that they're just asleep at the f**king switch and just letting Hammon run free without supervision - given the few eyes that had been on this league before this season, I think pretty every team has been letting their coaches run the show with every and any bad plays they've made in the past - they NEED to realize they are a PROFESSIONAL sports team now, thanks to the millions of new fans for the league and start acting accordingly.

Seems like the Aces are always skirting the salary cap rules. Either by 100k given to each player by the tourism board, or free G-Wagons in the past. Free housing to Hamby and a donation to her child private school meant for tuition. The league has already said some of this is against the CBA. The rest has not been ruled on. The late great Al Davis father of Marc who owns the Aces was a Renegade of the NFL. He was always fighting/suing the NFL. Becky, the GM and others need to go. They won two straight championships that are questionable. When I say questionable it is about players taking less than market value deals to play for the Aces. Many sources have said the Aces will make the difference up to you. Either G Wagons, housing, 100k pay offs or other ways.

It's a garbage league and they have hidden quietly doing what they want like spoiled clowns Wilson and many more as the NBA picks up the tab. Well now that the eyes are on the league and if this lawsuit goes through i think a flood of them will follow . They liked hiding and when i hear Wilson whining about getting a shoe but she also wouldn't be in any commercials if it wasn't for CC and Jewell wouldn't be in the State Farm ones if it wasn't for CC . Lastly if you ever want to tell if there lying they look down and shake there head and that's exactly what Becky did in your clip saying she never had a complaint

As for the shoe, when Aja was moaning about not having a shoe when Caitlin Was getting one is actually a lie to stir up trouble. She signed with Nike before Caitlin did in 2023.

Haven't had good vibes. Coach seems to exhibit attitude and ego issues. Someone has to be fired. Guess who. Forgot to add, self-delusional. Going to ask again, does the WNBA conduct drug testing. Thanks Chicks. We have a Clark suspension looming in the future and here's a perfect example of Caitlin shining a spot light into darkness.

Early interviews with A'Ja Wilson were not much different. You could tell by her comments she was overly jealous and somewhat racist when talking about the CC factor, although lately, no doubt because it blew up in her face the first time, she is backtracking somewhat on her comments. In this video she looks like she is ready to cry, and there are also a few others out there where she looks like for once, being in front of a camera is the last place she wants to be. A'Ja Wilson is a good basketball player, but she is NOT a good person.

Well, one thing is for sure, at least in my mind. The Fever has to beat the Aces and to really make a statement it has to be more than once while the Aces are at the top of their game or, even better, to beat them in a championship setting! Have the Aces ever been tested by a fast break team such as what CC and the Fever bring? I wonder. If not. the Fever has a decent chance of beating them if the Fever can remain focused and committed! However, it is absolutely a fact that CC has no fear of any opposing team. Of that there is no doubt in my mind. If the other ladies can manage to get that fearlessness within their minds they can demolish any other team, post haste!

Aces players get paid beyond the salary cap under the table. That is why the league didn't allow the 100,000 dollars to all Aces players. It's not fair to all the other organisations. WNBA should review all player contracts.

Becky Hammon, so you’re trying to telling us that the WNBA investigated this same matter last year, and on May 2023 you were suspended for two games without pay. Plus the Las Vegas Aces were also docked their first-round 2025 draft pick FOR NOTHING! Don’t insult the general public and fan’s intelligence! This is gas lighting to the MAX! Hope you get all you truly deserve! 🔥🔥🔥

As a Union rep myself, I practically live for the word "arbitration." To hear them say "well let's not do this, because we're afraid of what arbitration is," is absolutely absurd. Arbitration is expensive. And the ONLY reason why you don't take a union member's case to arbitration, is if you are pretty sure you can't win it. Aside from that, you don't ever use arbitration as some kind of weird scare tactic of not pushing forward. And to state the obvious, Hammon using the whole "well nothing was filed to HR" as some kind of defense, is ridiculous. HR is not on the employee's side, they are on the company's side. So why the hell would any player go to HR about a higher up mistreating them? That isn't going to go well for you if you do that. Never, ever, ever, EVER (did I mention ever?) go to fucking HR with anything. They are not there for you. Yet Hammon for some reason insults our intelligence by thinking that she's so clean, because nobody filed to HR against HER? The coach? Absolutely laughable the fools she takes us for.

I'm not in favor of the players running the league, just look at the NBA star players sit down/don't play games because they want too. However, I do want players protected like the NFL is constantly doing, upgrading their guidelines constantly. With that being said the WNBA doesn't have the infrastructure to promote their stars or games so I'm not surprised this happened. I know everything is allegedly, however if it looks like a duck, walks like 1 & sounds like 1 then it's 99% a duck. Hopefully she wins but it's settled out of court, I don't believe her case is the only 1 as such. I would hate to see 20 plus lawsuits filed at once.
