The day of reckoning will come. Outrageous prices on every item they can think of. Resort fees , paying to park. Vegas is now a shallow entity with no appreciation towards it patrons. My last time i visited vegas in 2019. I couldn't wait to get there, once i spent around 8 hours there i couldn't wait to leave. Ive had enough of this money grabbing place. I won't be back.

Vegas is wayyyy to expensive and crazy with homeless and drug addicts everywhere on the strip! We like Laughlin old school Vegas. Laid back older crowd lower prices for dining and you can’t beat being on the mighty Colorado River. Keep up the great work! We arrive next Wednesday for our 2nd trip to Laughlin. Great update. So many changes but we all know that's how Vegas swings. 😅 Unfortunately, prices are getting so high that the average person can't handle it anymore. Glad we went all those years when deals were everywhere and activities centered on having fun...today it's about squeezing every penny out of folks that they can. Oh well...got the memories.

We usually plan our trips to Vegas about 10 months out! We try to never go during some big event to keep the prices down as much as possible. I book everything for our 3-4 day visit prior to getting there so there are no surprises! Yes, it is a tourist trap so we expect higher prices… we do a pool day, usually like to take in a concert and at least one night at a fine restaurant… I buy all tickets, make reservations and review the dinner menu, and reserve the cabana at pool… The rest of our time we gamble or walk around Vegas taking in the sights and grab fast foods while on the go. I love Vegas and although it is expensive my family really enjoys it and we will continue our annual family trips there as long as we can! ❤

When I started going to Vegas in 1989, you would find .99 cent shrimp cocktail and .99 cent Heineken. Last trip in May 2024? A chicken sandwich, fries, and fountain drink in the Aria food court cost me $32.50. IN THE FOOD COURT!

I don't want to start an argument, just stating my opinion. You are entitled to yours, and I can have mine. I don't like when people use the phrase "back in my day things were so much cheaper, nobody can afford it now" or something similar. According to Google, the average gallon of gas was $1.06 in 1989 and is now $3.54. Yes, I know that same percentage increase would make your $0.99 shrimp cocktail around $3.30, and I'm sure it is actually way more that. My point is that everything was cheaper back in the day, or way back when. I'm sure in '89 people were complaining that gas in the 1954 was only $0.29/gallon. Both gas price comparisons were 35 years apart. 70 years ago, you could get over 12 gallons of gasoline for the same price as 1 gallon now.

The MGM Maryland casino charges state, county, and city resort fees. Valet parking is $75 a day, a day! Local residents just park in the parking garage.

Prices definitely high but the increase in hotels, car rentals , restaurants seem to be comparable to other large cities I’m in Vancouver BC and our restaurant prices have increased substantially. The ridiculous Vegas resort fees are another story.

Great Video!!! Have ever considered doing a video on visitors from out of town, during the weekday, I fly in from Phoenix on Monday-Thursday package deal on Priceline/Expedia, Airline Tickets are $.35 cents, "Yes 35 cents each way" plus taxes which is about $17 dollars, stay at Linq/Flamingo/Harrah's for a total of 220-250 per person package deal, you get better deals during week plus less crowds!!!! Have not checked out flights from LA/San Francisco/San Diego/Denver/Salt Lake City, but I am sure you would probably get same airline fee of cheap cheap, must be a kick back from Hotels?

People complain about the pricing, and yet the ONLY, repeat ONLY reason the businesses there get away with it, is because people have plenty of money to spend, and clearly little brain power. You have to have something seriously mentally wrong with you to voluntarily pay the prices the hotels and restaurants are now charging. There is ZERO justification for it. I was always a huge fan of LV and visited there most years from overseas, but the chance of me going back anymore is close to zero. If people want the old Vegas to return, I promise it is dead easy to achieve. Simply stop going there EN-MASSE, and the executives will get the hint.

All that i know is that Secret Pizza shop in the Cosmo is amazing pizza. I’ll try Buddy’s Pizza but i cant imagine that i still won’t go tonSecret Pizza. I would’ve never known that place was there unless before we left on the plane to go to Vegas i watched some videos on the Cosmo and only one video mentioned it and said its hidden and people have no idea its there because there’s no signs anywhere for it and that’s good because it’s small and it is packed every time I’m in there. I live in Florida but was born and grew up in NY & my uncle owned a Pizza shop and i ran it most of the time. So as a NYer I’m telling you Secret Pizza is really up there and I’m shocked i found good pizza on the west side of the country. I don’t know if there’s signs yet in the Cosmo but if you’re reading this and go there ask people how to find it because it’s hidden down kind of a secret hallway you’d never think it goes there and the hallway looks like utility storage area. Even tho i kept going i still had trouble seeing the hallway. That’s Cosmos theme tho that stuff there is hidden. I’m sure Buddy’s will be good but I’m sure it will be overdone with crazy types of pizza and extreme pizzas -just make like 8 different good pizzas and it will sell.

I quit going to Vegas. Low minimum gambling with favorable rules, low price food and lodging and, of course, free parking. Those things kept me going there for many years. The greedy mega-resorts have changed Vegas. And why not keep gauging the suckers? The crowds keep flocking there.

I sincerely hope the A's to Vegas thing falls apart...A's ownership has been fielding not much more than a AAA ballclub for the past decade and more at least and complains about fan attendance and a new stadium problem in Oakland...Thing about that is Oakland and the county saw what the S.F. Giants did with their ball park (private financing) and A's ownership who want the taxpayer to help foot the bill dont or cant seem to go that route....Oakland wont commit to a heavy tax payer contribution....

The prices are so out of control I just can't justify padding their wallets. It makes me sad. They have taken away most of the old world charm people loved, and new generations don't remember that so they keep on going. I think the biggest thing they took away is how they treat people now. If they could bring back the days of when they went out of their way to make sure you had what you needed, and were comfortable, went out of their way to fulfill a need if you had one, and every person visiting felt special, it might help the bitterness people feel about the pricing. But all that courteous, prompt, "you are special" service is all but extinct (unless you are a millionaire and they know you). One is lucky to get clean towels when you ask for some. Remember the days when clean towels were in your room right after housekeeping CLEANED your room? Ya, housekeeping doesn't come anymore. I don't know what the draw is for people going anymore. Maybe the younger generations just don't realize what Vegas used to be, so Vegas doesn't have to meet any expectations now. The elder generation is gone, the middle generation is not going as often because they see what has happened. So what Vegas has left is the younger generations who don't have any expectation except to drink and party. I do wonder if it will ever catch up with them and things will change for the better, or if Vegas has forever morphed into fast flowing cash cow and there is no need to treat people as they used to. I think the latter is the truth. They just don't care anymore as long as $$$$ is flowing through the corporations.

If you don't like the prices get off the Strip which has always been and will always be a ripoff. Head to locals places like South Point and Sunset Station.
