People are blaming the Raiders for not moving up to get a QB, but you can't force your way up, you need trade partners. I never saw this pick coming, but I agree with it. He adds versatility and attitude to an offense that vastly underachieved last year. This guy is a weapon that can be launched from anywhere on the field. We have 2 capable starting QB's, so now we can stock the defense and O-line, and take a developmental QB in later rounds.

@@lemonyell1 We do have 2 capable starting QBs. AOC was technically the 2nd best rookie QB last year and Minshew was 1 game away from leading Colts to playoffs. It may be lower end starting quality but they are still solid game managers. Which is why you surround them with 4 elite receiving targets, a solid O-line, and a good defense. Our defense was rated #1 last year after AP took over and has improved in the off season. We should at least marginally improve. Then we next year we can try selling the farm for a Qb or sign Dak (No thanks). Be happy Gruden wasn't in charge this year, he would have panicked, and drafted Rattler in the first lol.

@@wesharris07 it’s all good Wes….i wanted Fuaga bigtime. But because I already knew how incredibly good Bowers is, I had no problem with it! Kid is special. Now, Telesco no doubt has painted himself into a situation where he better address the Oline in an effective way. That has to be priority #1 today. Then a stud CB. But Bowers will become a fan favorite I have no doubt! He is that good

I do believe that they did try to sell the farm for Jayden but there was no team who would accept the offer, since Jayden was their guy they decided to go with someone else that was high on their board. Im glad they picked Brock Bowers he’s an explosive playmaker, he was projected to go very early but everybody was so caught up getting a QB that they started to overlook other talented players and the Raiders once again stole another top tier player in this offseason.

@@drasticthompson1995 You seriously want to mortgage half a decade worth of 1st round picks? You know more than 50% of 1st round Qb's go bust right? I'm sure glad you aren't in charge. Bowers wont help the team? Shows how much you know about football and the Raiders. We now have 2 elite and 2 great receivers in Adams,Bowers,Meyer,and Mayer. This makes our "average" qb's job much easier. Helps out the Oline too because we can get the ball out quicker. We run the ball better by having 2 TE who can block.. Bowers isn't as good at blocking at Mayer but he gives good effort. It also helps disguise plays because we don't have to sub either TE out for a blocking tight end. Which would indicate a run play. That's 4 different ways Bowers will help improve this team. That's what you call a force multiplier, kiddo.

Teams were thirsty for QBs this year. I'm still laughing at the donkeys taking Nix at 12. We definitely got lucky that Bowers was still there. Scouts were calling him a generational type prospect.

People mention Minshew and Zamir White as if they're quality starters. White is a rotational back and Minshew is a spot-starter. Bowers will struggle to find his spot in the offense, especially when Adams demands 15+ targets a game.

Dont get me wrong Love Brock incredible talent but it didnt fill a hole and there's just not enough balls to feed him, Devante, Jakobi , Mayer and Trae and throw in a heavy run game on top of that ....We could of had Fuaga and Powers Johnson side by side on the right side . Or Mitchell / Arnold with Jack Jones and Hobbs .....But Brock is a Raider now and im with it .

Mitchell and Arnold fell out of the Top 20 for a reason. Picking them at 13 is what you call a reach. Mitchell played in strictly zone coverage scheme his whole college career. NFL is mostly Man to Man. He did well at senior bowl in man coverage but that's only 1 week. Arnold runs a 4.5 at 6'0. That's a huge red flag. Remember Jeff Okudah? Fuaga should be a solid player but he has shorter arms. Which leads to many scouts viewing him more as Guard then a Tackle. Bowers on the other hand has many scouts calling him a generationl talent and comparing him to George Kittle. I'll tell you what no Qb has ever complained about having too many elite receiving options. Double cover Adams at your own risk but leave him in single coverage and he will cook you as well. There's 30+ pass plays a game, everyone will get a chance.

@@dh3824 they fell because of team needs not because of talent they were both projected to get picked earlier , Mitchell was a top 10 pick on alot of mocks and both were tied to us at 13. We run a heavy Zone coverage although we do mix it up like most teams so Mitchell would fit nicely as far as Arnolds 40 , im not concerned about it he plays alot faster ....two PLAYOFF teams had no problem selecting them and probably ecstatic that they fell to them . We'll see about Fuaga , if he ends up being a G , if he does than he does , we picked a T ( Glaze ) in rd 3 who's also projected to be G , s we still haven't filled that position . I know all about Bowers so you don't have to sell me on him , I've accepted the pick even though I thought it was the wrong way to go ......I would of been happier if we picked Latu might not be a need but we could let Koonce walk and save money and have Latu on a rookie contract.
