Lasagna deserves all the talk surrounding him, but please allow me to write a little something about Let 3's performance this year. Though it might seem nothing more than messy, the performance had an actual meaning behind it. Firstly, the lyrics talk about an abstract malevolent entity that prevents you from having a good life, no matter how virtuous you are. Then, Severina appears on stage with a big pink hammer. In the month prior to Dora, she was a victim of corruption within the judicial system that took her son from her, simply because her ex is a psychopath who paid off the court. Croatia united over her fight for justice, and ultimately, she regained custody. While her appearance might come off as a PR stunt, having Severina wield (what could be seen as a judicial) hammer is a big "fuck you" to our corrupted system.

Croatia really is the Cinderella story. If he wins the whole HRT should be fired. As a Slovenian I am completely obsessed with the song and can relate to theme. I adore Rim Tim Tagi Tim so much. What really made it my winner is that despite not having it in the live performances, the piano part where he looks melancholically from a dock in more fancy clothes really hit me hard. As a Malayali who used to live in Qatar, I've heard of stories of people in the 70s to 90s going on boats risking lives to get a better opportunity in the Persian Gulf and this section really reminded me of it coupled with the general immigrant theme.

Baby Lasagna made the official video with the fiancee and her father. The video is a small masterpiece. You should listen to him talk about shooting the video. You will laugh to tears. He has a lot of support in Croatia not only because we like the song, but because as a person he is a simple, nice, humble and incredibly charismatic young man. We are so proud of him. He is our winner no matter how it ends 😻

As a Croatian living abroad, and missing my family every single day, Baby Lasagna’s song, with all its quirkiness and fun around it, does hit close to home. I do wish, as I always do with pretty much every Eurovision song that isn’t sung in the native language, I wish it had that. A sentence or two, a phrase perhaps, or maybe just something that adds that final little “oomph!” to the whole package. Marko is such a sweet guy too, and very transparent in all his interviews too. I hope we do win Eurovision! That would be just amazing!! Also, these videos are excellent! I want so badly for Croatia to win, if nothing else than for the story. However, I worry that with so many fun/televote-y songs that it will be an uphill battle. No juries in the semis already means that the jury has slightly exaggerated influence in the final (less jury-ey songs in the final for points to be spread out between) and more televote-y songs this year (Croatia, Netherlands, Finland, Switzerland, Estonia, plus the usual televote darlings like Lithuania, Ukraine, Norway and Greece) makes me suspect that this might lose out to a more jury-typical song like Belgium or even France tbh. We shall see !!

i love eurovision content and i watch one that follows the odds. In one suddenly croatia went up the third place. i have never seen something like this so i decided to watch the national semifinal to try to guest why it happen. Unless 2/3 of the Caucasus trio pulls a miraculous fast one on us (i heard a possible leak of Fahree's song and that's not gonna win lol) I think Croatia will remain the favorite to win (or at least stay in the top 3) until the week of. I know people are worried about how Baby Lasagna will do with the juries, but just remember jurors tend to not underscore songs that considered favorites to win and they might play scared because of last year. Basically don't write it off as a jury flop. Ukraine isn't winning imo. It could happen but I don't see it. I love the song a lot and it's gonna do well but it doesn't have that winner charm right now.

Okay, a bit of context about Let 3 and Severina. Let 3 was in the music video for her ESC entry Moja Štikla, but in the end, they didn't perform at Dora or ESC with her. Don't know why though, pretty sure it's their vocals in studio versions of the song (someone else correct me if I'm wrong). Her appearing at their performance now is kind of a throwback to 2006. 😁

My ultimate favorites in Vidbir were Yagody with Tsunamia, it reminded me of Tanxugueiras in Benidorm Fest 2022 with these very traditionals ways of singing (although these are two completely different cultures lol), I like Jerry Heil and alyona alyona's song, but choosing especially Mother Teresa and Maria as feminist icons is beyond me (like mother Teresa why not but Maria? idk)

Agree that Ukraine is missing a strong ending ‘moment’. For me the best part of the song is the intro and first verse. The chorus is good and the rap switches it up but after that the song goes nowhere and just peters out a little. It was slightly improved live by Jerry’s adlibs but not enough to give me a *wow* moment the way songs like Switzerland and Belgium have given me
