lasagna

The ultimate comfort food lasagna, with layers of rich homemade meat sauce, creamy béchamel sauce , noodles , cheese and fresh mozzarella .
INGREDIENTS:-
For meat sauce:
Ground meat 1200g
onion 2 (medium size)
garlic 5 - 7 cloves
olive oil 2-3 tbsp
chopped tomatoes 400g x 3 cans
salt to taste
Red chili powder 1 tsp
black pepper crushed 1 tsp
dried basil 2 tsp
dried oregano 2 tsp
water 4 cup
ingredients for béchamel sauce:
butter 70g
All-purpose flour 4 tbsp
milk 800ml
salt 1 tsp
nutmeg 1/2 tsp
for layers you need:
Chopped tomatoes 1 can (400g)
olive oil 3 tsp
No-boil lasagna noodles 600g (approximately)
fresh mozzarella 700g
Fresh herbs parsley or basil leaves
parmigiano reggiano
edam cheese

@@crystalvillarreal8579 I think the purpose of the watery sauce is to soften the lasagne sheets. In the oven the sheets will absorb the excess water from the sauce, so at the end of it you’re left with a thicker meat sauce. Correct me if I’m wrong here.

@@zarminahassan8397 actually, within a fresh lasagna dough, it's advisable. You can also find in the shop boxes of dry lasagna, They say that pre boiling is not needed. I didn't make lasagna for a long time. But I tried to make lasagna out of freshly home made pasta without pre boiling, and it was not great. After pre boiling it was much better. However now I use dry lasagna from boxes, because in a lasagna, what makes a difference, is not really the pasta by itself, it's the taste of the filling.

I just made lasagna two days ago based on this video recipe, and it does taste really really good! 👍🏻 The meat sauce taste perfectly good with homemade bechamel sauce, what are a great combination! Hi Sarah in case is too dense, next time you can use less flour and butter, while if it is too liquid, use more flour and butter. In any case this is a lasagna recipe, so I recommend you to look for some other videos on the internet (maybe italian ones with English subtitles)

Just add more milk next time, a thick Bechamel can easily be fixed by adding a bit more milk, but a runny thin sauce is harder to fix since adding flour after the milk will create lumps
