Absolutely love that we're told at the beginning of the video to have the hood shut when firing the laser for safety. Then for the remainder of the video, your employee fires the laser time and time again with almost every door open, and absolutely no eye protection... Absolutely fantastic example to set 👍

I have had my laser machine over 4 years and still love it.All the problems I have had was mostly & unfortunately user error.Great value for the money.The best you can do is use it, this alone will help

My 2 cents worth, I use a small piece of aluminum foil to cover the mirror before I tape it, that will protect the mirror from needing to clean after and also prevents the tape from flaring up when you hit it with the laser beam. I personally would never push my lens out of the holder with a pen, I use Qtips. Just my opinion and 20 years working with lasers.

I'm with you on the lens. I never touch it with anything except the lens cleaning cloth. Mine falls out easily...doesn't need to be pushed. YAY

How to on the red mark laser dot. Because mine isnt there for me to adjust. Its so hard

i would think that the aluminum foil is also hard enough to scratch the mirror?! my feeling is that optics are very very sensitive parts...

mirrors 1 and 2 align perfectly but when i do the test on mirror 3 to see if mirrors 1 and 2 align on the Y-axis then they do not align. Any idea what could be causing this? basically all three corners of my machine align perfectly except for the top right hand corner.

Ok your video is so dark I can't tell what you are measuring to level the tube. I assume it is the top shoulder of that bracket. Lossening the front screw, no problem but that back screw there is no way I can get my hands and the wrench to that screw. I have measured to the top shoulder on both ends --one end is 84,74mm and the other is 84.36mm is that close enough to level?

why is it ok to leave the door open for this procedure? What is the maximum power where that would be acceptable? on my 150W tube with x%?

Forgive the question. Newby here. If you are turning the tape sticky to sticky so no glue is showing on either side, how are you sticking it to the mirror mount?
@vaposhack6 жыл бұрын
Use just enough tape on one side to cover the hole, which leaves some sticky area on the outside edges.

I am at a Vocational tech school this year. It is our first year with a BOSSlaser. We have an LS40. After cleaning it, we noticed that small lettering would be engraved twice. Is this video a good reason for why it would be messed up?

What is the first lens called? The one used to reflect the red beam onto the first mirror? The very first lens in front of the co2 tube?

Nice machine! I like what I see so far, other than lens removal. That's pretty involved. I currently own a cheapo Chinese laser and change lenses frequently (between engraving and cutting), but it takes less than a minute to do (pop the air hose out, turn cone and it comes out with lens inside, then twist alum o-oring and lens falls right out). Hopefully you'll improve on that design! :)

Flat side down? I thought you guys used meniscus lenses. It should be concave side down.

I have one other question or comment. My laser did not come with an industrial chiller, until I get one, I was planning on putting a 5 gallon container of water in an old dorm type refrigerator to keep the water cool. Is there an optimum water temperature for a 100 watt RECI laser tube? Sorry but I have so many questions yet . I'm cautious and want everything right before starting.

Hi thank you very much your tutorial has been very helpful. I have a doubt though, on my machine when i do the test on the first mirror it makes a dot with a half circle indent around it, is this normal and can it be solved ? On 2nd mirror dot is perfect I'm trying to perfectly align the laser which on my machine is offset by a very small distance and this half circle on the first mirror makes a difference Laser tube on my machine is a chinese 80W upgraded Reci, machine is LC1390 from Weike, very happy with it by the way

Also the air compressor put out a pulsing type air. In other words there is no compressed air tank or regulator. I have a huge air system in my shop. Can't I just find an accurate regulator that will allow a pound or two of pressure that is even and constant. Anyone know what kind and where to get one. I suppose start looking at air brush regulators.
@TheRealGregKnight8 жыл бұрын
Mark, mine is hooked up to a regular air compressor. We upgraded from the pancake to a 26+ gallon unit to keep from cycling so much. Also, put an air dryer of some type in the line to remove the condensation from the output.
