I have over 30 years building and working with lasers and I still learned a lot from these lectures. This is teaching at it's best.

Where are his googles? It's peculiar whatching this knowing he has passed away. He comes across. As a great teacher and must have helped thousands of students.

Amazing how far so called portable lasers have come.I have a 1000 mw /450 nm Laser half as long as my arm .It will combust anything that's non-reflective an some things that are.Amazing piece of technology,I wish I could go into his video an show him ,he could do more with it than I can I bet,scientifically speaking.I just.like to burn things...lol..Although I'm getting into the other applications lately,its fascinating. That's how I found this show ,I knew there had to be more to these devices than carnal fun.

Can you help me? I need I book go into details for laser and control of it, I am a RA in part of my mater's degree, and the topic to assist with is about control of CW CO2 laser. So, I may need some books talk about this topic with good representation.

dear all, how length of cavity change by applying air !
@ksenia52154 жыл бұрын
It's not by applying air, but by changing the temperature (he's blowing cold air). This leads to thermal expansion in the laser tube thus the cavity length changes.
@Mrhetziff4 жыл бұрын
It is clear that laser gain is limited by loss in cavity. The picture were Gain > Loss is not realy correct. On threshold gain is "frozen" and is exact equal to loss.

I think lasers should be eating away at my eyes right now.
Sorry professor I've nothing against you, you're a great man, God bless.But someone left an awful message on my channel then blocked me, I think he has to pay for his conduct, someone should teach him to behave as humans, as I'm blocked I'm obliged to do it wherever he goes; till he admits he had mistaken in his conduct.sorry again :))
