I recently got the unit and although it is painless and does a double pulse when used in high mode and is fairly fast between flashes, what is disappointing about the unit is HSR mode. What it not mentioned on the Ulike website is that in HSR model the unit is unable to do auto flash and HSR mode can only be used for less than 10 minutes before the unit overheats and turns off. I got this unit for this feature to treat stubborn hair such as male back hair whereby it takes more than 10 minutes to treat a full back. For such a high-priced item, you would have thought that these issues would have been addressed before the unit was released on the market. I have since seen other reviews stating the same issue, thus this unit clearly has a design fault.

Mine doesn't shut itself off on HSR mode ever. I wonder if you got a bad one somehow or maybe it's the plug? Do wish HSR autopulsed though

I am getting this today. I plan on treating small patches of hair to avoid this issue. I’ll just keep up my regular shaving routine. It should work out in the long run.

I was going to say the same.. mine has never shut off on SHR mode which is the mode I went right in with. It does get a little warm but that is only after 30 min or so. I usually do my first pass, shut it off to cool a bit and then I repeat 2nd and 3rd pass with break in between. I only do that as I don't want it shutting off on me.

I find it scary to use on the upper lip (I have the 3) because it flashes so bright! I’m worried about my eyes. I wear 3 pair of goggles and layer dark cotton and it’s still bad. No way their glasses are adequate

Do you have to shave before using it??

The first time you use it, you do have to shave if the hair is long. But as you use it more consistently 3x a week for the first month, you shouldn't need to shave every time. I've used it on hair stubbles on the highest setting with no problems.

So for 3 weeks do we have to use razor everytime before doing laser? In my case, hair on legs grow fast on next day of shaving ... nd its so hard to use razor on legs every 2nd day bcoz i got strawberry legs after razor

@@antarpreetkaursran3011 The hair on the legs will not grow as fast as you use this device more and more. You can use it on hair stubbles as long as it's not that long.

Has the machine stop zapping after you use it for a while in one session? Example: I did my armpits and then proceed to do my legs. Closer to me finishing my legs, it just stopped flashing the light on the area that I haven’t done.

@@lesliepresinal4803 yeah, it would just stop. What I do is just do all the parts of my body all out once without turning it off. I’m not sure why it stopped working in the beginning when I had it on the strong setting. I’ve seen a deference. I just need to be more consistent.
