So what happens to the actual hair follicle? Does it just disappear? Does it fall out of the socket? Like is there hair to sweep up afterwards as if you shaved it off? 🤔 I get that they have you shave/trim the hair beforehand, but still, I wonder where the follicles they do remove go...

It'll slowly fall out in less then two weeks. You won't even notice it at all since you shaved before the treatment. What you will notice is the smoothness in the week after like having a wax, where as if the hair was still there and growing you would feel the stubble instead of smoothness. One thing for you as a women off color is find a place that understands how to treat your skin color. The laser zaps dark colors and darker skin can throw it off if it's an older laser machine. Also you'll want to find an experienced specialist doing the treatment who understands your body and skin type. Good luck it's a excellent procedure and no more monthly waxing 🤩

No. Waxing will remove the hair follicle from the root so there will be nothing for the laser to target. You have to let the hair grow. The only option is shaving

Yes it helped substantially after 5-6 sittings.. would however highly recommend using clear non pigmented/coloured numbing cream as I believe the pigmented cream made the blotches and not the laser itself.. its all subsided now.

Try not finding a beautician/spa etc offering to do laser hair removal treatments but clinics with qualified technicians who are certified and know what they doing as every person has a different need and a different skin type etc.. someone qualified would know how to attend to ones need without any complications.
